Blue devils a little too much for the raiders. Should be a fun game to watch. Good luck to both teams!

River Valley played Rock Hill to a virtual tie in the preview running no offense without a point guard (Trey Noble was unable to play that night).
One thing they showed they can play defense!! And shot the ball surprisingly well. They were one bad call at the end of beating Southern @ Southern. Again they played great defense in the 2nd half. They were down to Nelsonville York 10 in the 2nd half and battled back to get the win.
If Gallia Academy goes 11 deep tonite they cannot match up with a much quicker team than Rock Hill had,
From what i have head Gallia Academy has had a lot of problems scoring points, they have very few true Basketball players on that team.
But,this is the same bunch tha tcoach Moore racked up all those wins with as JV.
Seems this is a different game??

River Valley Wins.

Raiders 49-Blue Devils 43

We have no basketball players, cant match RV's speed, cant shoot, and we're playing on the road and you only have us losing by 6?

If you watched the Rock Hill game DVD and never saw a scoreboard you would think we had won that game going away. That remark didnt come from me but from someone there looking at us. But I agree.

I'm not naive enough to base an entire season on the results of the first game only, and as I said earlier, I will take that same effort every night of the year.

I dont know what a "virtual tie" is but I do know what a preview is. But hey, that's OK, I like being perceived as the underdogs for once in this series, and underestimated teams succeed more often than one would think.

GO BLUE!!!
WELL!
This-> "having trouble scoring"
was not ment as a slight in any way! This is what several people who scout and observed GA going through dry spells.
(Matching RV's quickness)
I know there are several fast guys on the GA roster, but basketball quckness and running speed are totally different!
(Playing on the road)
Hope no one gets jet lag from the long trip!!

As far as River Valley only scoring 49 this is a product of playing great defense on the other team and running an offense that is designed to shorten the game. RV does have a short bench only going 7 deep most likely.

A person who would make a statement like that "If you watched the Rock Hill game DVD and never saw a scoreboard you would think we had won that game going away",either knows very little about sports or never played any.
Your arrogance never seize to amaze me! Take off your Blue Glasses and see things as they actually are 8) .
Also or your being the underdog for once, isn't quite true. Definantly in 2004 GA was a huge unerdog and lost the 1st game by double digits. Also this Rivalry has has some really close games in the past GA has won the majority of them and they deserve praise as does Coach Osborne.
This is a new era,GA may win tonight we will see. That is why it is a rivalry.

You must learn to stop taking everything personal,"Good Lord!"
Not too many years ago you were rooting for county kids and following "red, white and BLUE"!
So before you begin your arrogant County bashings remember where you once were!!!

A lot of people know.
Good luck to both teams.
Play hard and be smart and let's go RAIDERS!

Jotting told me overall record Is 28-8 in favor of the blue.
I'm pulling for the blue but it will be hard to beat anyone talented in se ohio
going 11 deep. I would rather go 7-8 deep

I haven't seen too many teams going 11 deep with good records unless ur blowing out people and all play.

That is a very impressive edge,as it should be Gallia Academy has an enrollment around 560 River Valley usually is around 390.
I am proud to say this has been a very clean rivalry and much like Ohio State vs Michigan you seem to always get the best effort from players and coaches on both sides.
I will gurantee if you go watch these 2 play Basketball against one another you will most likely enjoy a really good game most of the time!

Good Luck EVERYONE and may the team with the most points WIN!

GO RAIDERS BEAT GALLIA ACADEMY!

I have seen both teams play and this should be a good one, river valley may be a little more athletic on the interior while GA has a size advantage RV's post people are more athletic as for shooting rv has several who can stroke it if left open from the outside and have a very skilled pg i too would not be surpised if either team were to win.

NOT TRYING TO START NOTHING BUT ROCK HILL NEVER SHOW ANYTHING IN PREVIEWS.
