As everyone knows, next season we are going to 22 games during the regular season. West Muskingum high school is going to take the opportunity to hold the Route 40 Classic. This will take place on Martin Luther King weekend next season. (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday). 20 teams will be accepted. Both JV and Varsity will play on two of the days. So you get your JV and Varsity teams 2 games. The JV and Varsity games will not be played at the same time, but back to back rather, in two seperate gyms. There is NO entry fee. West M is located in Zanesville, just 3 miles off of Interstate 70. There will be various food and drink and discounted pricing on hotel rooms in Zanesville.

Teams from all over Ohio have been invited and some are showing great interest. We want to get up to 20 teams of all sizes. We will match teams depending on size and strength of program. If you or any area school you know is interest please send me a message.

This will be a great weekend and opportunity to face a couple opponents that you normally would not see. For spectators it will offer the chance to watch A LOT of high school basketball.

Heard there was interest from Zanesville, Newark, Dublin Coffman, Dayton Jefferson, Dover, Hiland, Rosecrans, Caldwell, River View, Sheridan, Tri-Valley, Logan Elm and a few others. Set up similar to the Hiland girl's programs Classic in the country, should be a fun weekend next year.
