I think NorthWest is a better ball club than alot of people give them credit for. I still like Burg in this one but only by 5 or so.
Burg looked good at times against Jackson , but also let the big lead get away from them and let Jackson back in it..
I will say this Burg's chemistry looks alot better than it did last year, they will be tough this year.

Wheelersburg by 7. Stegman will be to much in the post for a mohawks team without Hank Leslie.

Wheelersburg is still working to get into basketball shape, but I think Stegman and McBee will be too much for NW to handle.

Wheelersburg will be real tough as soon as Barrick gets Mcbee under control. Good player but forces the play way too much. He will be a lot better if he would just play within the offense. Dont know why the Massie kid isnt playing point. Much better ball handler and passer than anyone on the team. Burg by 15.

Mohawks will keep it close for a wuhile. In the end, Burg has too much talent. Burg by 15

Burg wins 38-30 and from what it sounded like on the radio a very sloppy game with lots of turnovers and lots of missed baskets. I can't understand why Stegman is 20+ feet from the basket shooting 3's when Northwest has no one starting over 6"2" at best. He should have dominated the paint in this one.

Sorry to bust your bubble but McBee is the best ballhandler on the team, and coach Barrick knows that,by the way the kid is only a sophomore,he will improve his decision making.jeepmadness wrote:Wheelersburg will be real tough as soon as Barrick gets Mcbee under control. I was at the game. The superstar freshman (Smith?) hit a 3 and played well in relief. I rememer Stegman taking 1 three and making it. The turnovers were from good defence on both teams. Northwest kept themselves in it with good defence and coaching. Holding the Burg to 38 points probably won't happen again this year. Crabtree did a good job on Stegman down under but he still got some easy baskets.

DE-FENCE is what Italian guys lean on to talk to their neighbors and what de birds land on to take a crap.
Just because people hold up a "D" and a "FENCE" at ball games does not mean that's how it's spelled.

It pretty sad that people are busting each other's bubbles and putting down kids. Mcbee and Massie are both great ball handlers. They both work well together. They have played together since Jr. High and know how to work off each other. There is no need for bashing on here. Mcbee is a natural point guard and Massie is a natural 2/3 guard hands down. They should both be on the floor. They are both great assets to Wheelersburg Basketball.

I was not putting down any of the kids,I was just stating that McBee was the teams best ballhandler, thats not taking anything awy from Massie or any of the other boys, every team has a best ballhandler.WhatsTheWord wrote:independent2012 wrote:Sorry to bust your bubble but McBee is the best ballhandler on the team, and coach Barrick knows that,by the way the kid is only a sophomore,he will improve his decision making.jeepmadness wrote:Wheelersburg will be real tough as soon as Barrick gets Mcbee under control.
