Early test for the Rebels against one of the top teams in the Hocking. Winning this game would be huge for SG.
The Trimble and SG series has always been a heated one. Always a close game between the two teams when they matchup against each other. I may travel down to Mercerville to see this one in person. Good Luck to Coach Saunders and the Rebels.

When all is said and done this game wont mean much. Neither of these teams is gonna win the Hocking.

Yes because the officiating in the Hocking can always even the playing field between the good teams and the bad ones. As I was told Belpre found out early, it is extremely hard to overcome the whistles at some of these places.

Belpre only had like 5 more fouls than SG. There were some bad calls both ways.

As we all know the number of fouls doesn't always paint the whole picture. Many times fouls are called late when the game has been decided that evens the number of fouls called up some. I was told that Belpre had key players who were either fouled out or on the bench with 4 fouls during key points in the game. Also, we all know there are calls other than fouls that affect the game.

Yes there are always calls that affects the game, that happens everywhere. The game was only won be 2 points so the fouls and other call didnt help much if that were the case.

Actually the fouls called late in the game when sg was up in double figures helped the comeback of belpre. South gallia missed 9 freethrows in the 4th quarter. Belpre was only called for 4 more fouls.

Oh it was only a two point game? So I see what you mean that officiating could not have affected the outcome.

As far as missing the 9 free throws, well hey the officials can only do so much. They can't shoot the shots for you.

Like I said, from what I was told it looks like SG will fit right in with the other Hocking division teams in the officiating department.
