WKKJ can put a positive spin on two 30+ blowouts and the STREAKS are the real deal... Time for Piketon to be excited about this team!!!

I know the Streaks are good, but who have they beaten so far?

I echo what GAHS said. I wish them luck and admit that I haven't seen them this year. I have seen them the last couple years though and I just don't know if this team is going to play a schedule that prepares them for the postseason. They do play a couple good teams. No great teams that I am aware of and a lot of mediocre and plain bad teams. You can't help the conference you are in but it is very hard to tell a group of kids that they didn't do what they should have or that there were lots of things to work on and the game should have been better when they are winning by 30 points. A team goes deep in the post season by improving EVERY opportunity they get in the regular season. That is possible with a weak schedule but just barely.

Its way too early...time will tell...those games could've been a lot worse than just 30...the bench has played just as much, and in some cases more that the starters. The schedule is good for a change, Piketon has played a tough schedule over the past three seasons and Coach Lisath has played all of the Big Dogs this pre-season (Chillicothe, Ironton, Gahanna Lincoln, Harvest Prep, Africentric, Eastmoor, and others). I think the Mifflin game was a good measuring stick for the team. They know where they need to be... 2 of the 4 starters were starters on the Final 4 team two years ago and the other two played major minutes. They're just a veteran team that has played a lot of basketball against tough competition during the summers and pre-seasons over the past four years and I'm sure they know what it takes to be really good. The Streaks will be tested in the SVC for the simple fact they're picked to win it and they will get everyones best shot. A potential game with Waverly in the Holiday Classic in a couple of weeks will be another good test, then they will play Unioto who is currently undefeated and playing well (always a battle). The Zanesville game will be another huge hurdle, as they're picked to be one of the top DII teams in the state after last year's Final Four appearance. Also the Vinton County game that will be around the tournament draw another good DII team. Coach Lisath is constantly saying "we need to get better"...will blow-outs help? Who knows...but I can tell you those kids are battle tested.

Zanesville will be your best measuring stick. They aren't very deep but are easily more talented then last season.
