Thoughts.
Gallipolis has lost four in a row. Warren is coming off its first loss in eight games.
Last February, the Warriors thumped all three GAHS treams, the varsity, reserves and freshmen.
Gallipolis averaging 42.2 ppg and giving up 52.2. Warren averaging 62.3 ppg and giving up 50.1.
Tripleheader starts at 5 p.m.

My bad. GAHS plays at Warren on Friday, Jan. 14. Blue Devils at Marietta on Jan. 21.

I think Warren will win this game by a lot, they are fundamental sound from what I have seen. Their only loss was against a really good team. GA has had a brutal schedule the last few weeks and has played pretty decent against teams most people wouldn't give them a chance with.

gahs4ever: I couldn't predict the score to save me. I don't think it has anything to do with respect, or disrespect for me. I think that you kind of expect a team to play a certain way reguardless of who they play. It may seem off subject, but golf always comes to mind when folks talk about how their team played. In golf you have par, either you are over or under. Basketball isn't that cut and dry.
Good luck with the rest of your season. I'm gonna choose Warren, with no margin. I might predict snow early in the week (only because I watched the Radar), so please be careful traveling.

gahs4ever...while I geneally respect your posts I am not sure of your reasoning on this last one...posters from other teams always have their bias and focus on their own team....yes Gallia basketball appears to be in a down cycle the past couple of years, is going through a coaching transition, and the current won lost record is under .500 right now....usually the records of competitive teams by year end shows the result of their overall talent and ability....so I would expect Gallia's record to improve some based on their early season tough schedule...I see Gallia's basketball team stuggling to improve and be more competitive similar to Warren's football program at this time....too bad but you can't always be at the top in both fball and bball at the same time....you guys had a great year in fball but are taking your lumps on the hardwood...good luck and keep getting better except for 1/14....

Warrior boys showing improvement and if Coached like last game, this wont be a contest!
Interesting to see if the plan is to build chemistry or not? With the right pieces in the lineup, the warriors will open up a double digit lead at the Warriordome and its one of the times to see the freshmen just to get them some minutes and experience. Also should see MR.Mitchem!
What a class act by the way...The boy was put in the other night with less than a minute, and he didnt crack a smile and listened to the coach as he told him his job...and he hustled right onto the floor and played as hard as ever! What a team player!
Another question is which Mr.Cunningham shows up? He has a tendancy to play more showboat style in front of his homecrowd and really needs to get this fixed....Every game needs to be more of a FOCUS for him if he is going to be called an ELITE WARRIOR PLAYER!
Good chance to see if he keeps in under control and shares the ball more in front of the Home Crowd? If not, then could see alot of forced shots and turnovers but Im thinking he is starting to finetune his overall game and show some maturity. If he can prove this against a Subpar Gallia team then it only gets better for Warren! Warriors by 12 minimum even with plenty of subs. The sun comes out tmrw!

Hope Gallipolis plays better games this year at Warren Local. Still remember that 65-28 beating the Warriors put on the varsity Blue Devils last February, followed by a 53-37 drubbing of the Blue Imps and 50-27 rout of the GAHS freshmen.

I realize GAHS officials have lots of little things to do out at Centenary. One, I'd like to see all the GAHS championship banners displayed in the main gym. I believe they've been taken down from the Fourth Ave., gym.
Two, it would be nice if the state highway department or county highway department would properly mark how to get to the new GAHS gym from Rt. 35. I notice someone has placed a sign at the foot of Garfield Ave., and Rt. 141 telling visitors how to get to the new gym..
Several GAHS opponents that come in the back way off Rt. 35 have complained (especially after dark) there's no road signs or markers telling them where to turn aftrer getting off Rt. 35.
