I got to watch this game after my Trojans beat Waverly. Cunningham was a beast.......this kid is the real deal! Good win for Warren, as this was a back and forth game after Warren got off to a double digit lead. Harvest Prep battled back, however...and down the stretch traded the lead on several occasions with Warren putting the game away late for the win.

Quality WIN for the WARRIORS. Should look good on their resume' by season end. The five on the floor at the end of the game took what it needed. DESIRE !!!!!! Way to go WARRIORS. Next up, Gallia at home on Friday the 14th. Keep focused ! and yes Cunningham is a beast. It was hot in that gym so we had to turn the AC on.

The Warriors played their best game of the year tonight. Good offense, good defense, and balance scoring made them look like the team we knew they could be. The key to the game was Warren changed their press break and worked it very well. Harvest Prep is a very good team for sure. Good luck to them the rest of the season.

Austin Cunningham played within himself and had a great game (20 points)
Jeremy Hastie had 5 3s and really had the stroke going (15points)
Grant Venham had (10 points) should have been more but played well
Can't remember Ward or Windland total points but both played a great game and hit some bigshots down the strech.
Everyone that played did what needed to be done. Good team WIN.

Overall a good comeback win for the Warriors. It's been a long week with 3 long road games.I think everybody needs a break (players, coaches amd fans). Lets regroup, build off this big win and get ready for the 2nd half of the season. Still a lot of game to be played. 8-1 I'll take it. GO TEAM WARREN WARRIORS

WELL WELL! So glad I made this roadtrip...my health is better and my confidence in the warriors took a big step lastnight.
The 4 players that I mentioned in previous posts along with Mr. Windland combined for 58 of the 63 points! They finally got some playing time TOGETHER, AND WOW WHAT A COMBO!
Even though Venham had an off night and missed several layups but still kept playing hard the other offensive threats were dead-on. Hastie and Ward with outside bombs, Windland picking up for Venham, and Cunningham doing what he does best made for a hard team to guard. They broke the press with ease and just played well together! Leffingwell played his role well and Mr. Hilverding even hit a suprise 3...great job! The boys came in with 4 minutes in the 2nd qtr for the first time as 4 and finished the half well. Then midway through the 3rd they were back as that powerful unit and finished the 3rd and 4th like a solid group to contend with! This makes the Warriors so much more potent when these scorers and ball handlers are on the floor. Dont get me wrong the subs played a key role but still think this is the right chemistry they need!
Even going oldschool and playing zone was SO SMART! This could be done on various times throughout the year in just 3 minute spurts to give the boys some rest and keep from foul trouble! Only thing I wasnt sure of was starting the 2nd half with the original 5 because against the Big Dogs this could make a huge difference and 6 point swings are very big in the big games! But overall it was a great Performance and probably the best played game yet and def not sloppy as before! So Warrior c c player of the game goes to Coach Maddox for Coaching like he can and making BIG ADJUSTMENTS! Even pulling out Mr. Venham when he took an ill advised fader late and reminding him of the score and telling him what he did wrong...Now thats COACHING! Hope he continues to get these 4 some valuable minutes together even against the weaker teams because its much needed chemistry!
Great Job warriors and a BIG CLEAN WIN! You now look like you have the BORDER TO THE PUZZLE IN PLACE....Next step is to keep the BORDER IN PLACE and build the rest of the picture and the puzzle could be complete! The sun comes out tmrw! ;-)

C C why do you call it the player of the game award when you never seem to give it to an actual player? Is it because you are actually a hater? I can not comment on actual game play but i have been told by numerous people that this might be the year for the Warriors. I hear Hastie started to come out of his shooting slump with what 5 or 6 threes against the Prep school now maybe thats player of the game material or maybe Cunningham should be it since they actually gave him a trophy for his game. I also hear Cunningham was injuried in the Chilly game and missed a great part of that game but returned and showed heart and leadership even though it was in a loss. How's Knost healing up? Heard he has been out awhile, if he returns that will make the Warriors even more dangerous. Good Luck to the Warriors the rest of the year and I hope if any players read this forum don't let any of the haters get you down because you are all winners for giving 100% night in and night out for your school and community.

BIG BAD BLUE

Congrats to the Warriors! Big win against a quality opponent...great confidence boost after the Chilli defeat....well played in all aspects, handled press effectively, good shot selection and shooting percentage, good solid Warrior defense, making the extra pass and helping on defense, reminded me of last years post season play....we got better since Friday, and that is what losses do for good teams...was a joy to watch...don't usually name names but Josh Windland is showing steady improvement and making key contributions...can't wait to see Jance Knost back in the mix in the next week or so...along with Dylan and Austin H this gives us the physicality we need to compliment Grant under the bucket....you are doing great but can't do it by yourself under the bucket....AC you were awesome and showed great discipline and leadership! I still think we win against Chilli if you don't go out...Hilvy keep being Hilvy...your team D is exceptional!

BLUEMOON, I'm probably more of a realist, but I have a question for you. If someone is expected to do well, do you give them a reward when they do their job? When the kids were all little, we always cheered the loudest for the one that never had a chance to make a basket but did. The stuff on here means NOTHING.

Harvaest Prep left Hastie open and he shot the ball just like he did against Belpre. Their mistake. WE cashed in. I hope it happens more. Chili is a good team, but they can lose. If we use the combo we had against Harvest Prep, alot of good things can happen. Knost is getting better, but its gonna be a slow process. I just wish you had the opportunity to watch the game. Ask around I know there are some game films lurking about. Watch them. You will see what I see.

I'm here to tell ya. MADDOX COACHED ONE FINE GAME, so, with AC getting his recognition, Hastie getting his ATTA BOY, I have to SAY it again. COACH MADDOX COACHED ONE FINE GAME.

BLUEMOON>>>First of all...It really doesnt matter what its called because If I gave it to a player each time, then i would be lying , because You have to earn the award! Ive gave it to players when deserved when Ive seen them do something special...If I gave it to an individual because of most points etc...i will just name MR.CUNNINGHAM player of the game each time ,because he gets the most minutes and scores most due to getting 15 more shots per game. Not saying he isnt quite the player but this award is presented to overall play and its given where credit is due...When Warren plays ugly....Nobody deserves an award because this isnt the kindergarten class from ROMPER ROOM and you get a pat on the back for AVERAGE PLAY.
I COULD CHANGE IT TO WARRIOR C C PERSON OF THE GAME FOR YOU??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????(HANG ON IM THINKING???????????????????????????????????????????????????????
OK IVE DECIDED! IM NOT CHANGING ANYTHING ESPECIALLY FOR YOU!
SO IF SOMEONE LIKE VENHAM,CUNNINGHAM,HASTIE,WARD, OR WHOMEVER WANTS IT.....THEY WILL EARN IT! ESPECIALLY THE SENIORS BECAUSE THEY ARE EXPECTED TO BE LEADERS AND BRING THIS TO THE FLOOR EVERYNIGHT! MR. CUNNINGHAM PLAYS LIKE HE DID IN PORTSMOUTH , HE WILL GET HIS IN TIME...AND HASTIE STAYS HOT AND BALANCES HIS EFFORTS TO MOSTLY GOOD, THEN HE WILL GET ANOTHER AWARD! NOBODY HAS RECEIVED A 2ND INDIVIDUAL AWARD YET...AND THAT WILL TAKE A HUGE EFFORT ABOVE JUST AVERAGE NUMBERS TO CLAIM THE $50 AWARD (OR SCHOLARSHIP) haha! So in my opinion of lastnights game, I went with Coach Maddox....and it will be very interesting to see if he gets another award later or maybe even get his taken away if he goes back to the Be nice and please (happytown) coach? So until then.....

Mr. Frosh...BP is fine, wasnt even getting in an uproar? The whole reason for Patches was to keep me stress level down and as far as my hip im doing alot better. I can sure sit alot better and roadtrips arent that tough anymore. Wish I was med free though because my retirement insurance is just downright no good and cant get to much help from medicare. I do like attending the games to keep me occupied but still dont like leaving patches kept in the cage that long. Wish I knew that animals are so expensive to take care of these days because I just might have said no. But maybe there is reasons behind me getting it. If it helps my health then money wouldnt matter I guess. But I do appreciate your concern this snowy evening.
Maybe the warriors are turning it around and we will def see that next week vs Portsmouth and Marietta. Season could be the Trojans and I heard they are at full strength now and alot different then when the Boys in Blue traveled there. So Stay tuned!

Hope your not using Patches like one of those stress balls. Poor doggie to have a owner like you, no dog should be caged unless the owner is as well. Are you sharing the cage C C?

Bluemoon...A travel cage is perfectly fine to keep a puppy in, and furthermore Im a kind and caring person to my puppydog Patches! He gets treated better than most humans do and I would say that if You were a pet then a Horse stall would probably be to good for you unless it hadnt been cleaned for a few weeks....So keep your worries about my personal life to yourself because this sight has been perfectly fine without your comments!
