Elite 8 poll

With Floyd out, I had an idea. Why not have the people vote on the top 8 each week? What you can do is post your top 8 in order and then, we can give 8 points for 1st, 7 for 2nd and so on. Keep a running tally and that is "The People's elite 8" .
What does everyone think?
My top 8 are:
1)Chillicothe
2)Chesapeake
3)Piketon
4)Warren
5)Ironton
6)Peebles
7)Logan Elm
8)Portsmouth
Feel free to put reasons why you have teams where you do. Just make sure you have list form so that it can be easily added who the people think is in what place. Please try to be as unbiased as possible.

why is portsmouth even considered? they lost to Webster and Warren and several other teams, and survived by the skin of their teeth over wheelersburg. Sure Bendolph this and Whitely that but you can't forget about the first half of the season which they haven't done so hot in. no disrespect, just my opinion.

as a P[ortsmouth fan,and I see another Portsmouth fan,I could not agree more with Swanker Pine.."except for beating Burg by the skin of our teeth..a win is a win, esp against burg" and if you use that logic,,we lost game by the skin of our teeth to a GREAT Warren team ...but I dont feel we belong in the top 8 at this point either,,,now, talk to me next week, after Logan friday, Ironton tuesday, then Warren Friday......
by the way,,I like this thread....

and by the way,,a 7 and 4 start with the schedule we have played,is not to shabby in my book, esp when you consider we had two big wins over 2 teams in Florida that was much larger then us,,our only loss was by 12 or 13 points to the team that went unbeaten and won the tourney...

If it is a weekly poll then judge by the week,if those two players are playing now and were not playing the first half of the season then rank them or don't rank them by what they have now

1. Chesapeake-Undefeated with quality wins over Cols. Africentric, Ironton, and Wheelersburg.
2. Chillicothe-Good wins over Warren, Portsmouth, and Xenia with their only loss coming to powerhouse Bowman Academy.
3. Logan Elm-Undefeated with quality wins over Hillsboro, Bloom-Carroll, and Waverly.
4. Piketon-Undefeated with some good wins over Mifflin, Unioto, and Waverly.
5. Warren-Good wins so far with one let down against a strong Chilli team.
6. Peebles-One loss to a good Manchester team in which some key players were made ineffective due to foul trouble.
7. Ironton-Better than this but they still have 3 losses, all to great teams.
8. Oak Hill-Undefeated but still not sold on their legitimacy as a top contender for D3 title in our district this season.
Just missed:
Portsmouth-Talent to be in the top 5 but have dropped some games early with an incomplete roster.
Manchester-Some quality wins but their inconsistancy in games they should have won fairly easily early on in the season puts them here for me.
Reedsville Eastern-Undefeated but play one of the easiest schedules of any team mentioned. Was in a close one with South Gallia.
Wheelersburg-Have the talent to kick off some of the big dogs during the tourny. Losses to good teams in Chesapeake and Portsmouth.
South Webster-Good D4 team with their only loss coming to Oak Hill recently.

Datchilli, are you keeping track of this poll each week? I wish you luck. Great idea.
Chesapeake
Chillicothe
Logan Elm
Warren
Piketon
Peebles
Ironton
Portsmouth
I will have my first chance to see Oak Hill this Saturday when they take on Fairland at Chesapeake's BEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST. That may have me replacing Portsmouth with them. But until then I am leaving Portsmouth in there.

To say Portsmouth shouldn't be considered is kind of crazy. Beat 2 teams down in Florida that would be d-1 here and got a nice win over burg. Nice win over Waverly. Beat Jackson,SP,Galia who arn't the best but a win is a win. Beat them selves vs Warren at the free throw line. Webster game was theirs till they played a terrible 2nd half. Much improved team with Bendolph back.

4.Logan Elm
5.Warren
