Quite a challenge for the young Ironmen.

I do recall Humpty's jr year they struggled mightily until early in the 4th qtr....Jackson was down just by about 6.....Chilly was led by the Beverly kid who scored 19 in about 2 qtrs drilling 3 after 3.

That Chilly team was 40-50 points better than Jackson.....but won by around 18-20 after being tight for 3 qtrs.

Good memory. Beverly saved us from a major upset. I was so P'd off that night.

I think Jackson's young team has their hands full with this game. I think the Ironmen can give them a battle if they believe in themselves.
I just hope Jackson comes to play. I bet you the Chillicothe coach will not take the game to lightly. Jackson will battle and if they reduce their turnovers and shoot the 3 a little better it could be a interesting game.
Hows the Chapman kids ankle after the Marietta game?

Jackson came out with a lot of passion and Chillicothe did not. Jackson led 14-7 early in the game and battled after a Chilly run to lead 23-22 at the half. The Cavs were just too talented but Jackson played well to a good game plan and battled til the end. If Jackson can match that desire and hustle they'll start popping in some wins. They seem to really be working hard. They can lose the rest of their games but if they keep playing with that much hustle then I'll be there to watch regardless. No quit.

Beverly with 19 for the Cavs

Chapman with 13 for the Ironmen. Ty McNelly had 9.

Also want to comment on the JV as they had a lead at the half as well 21-19 but Chilly did pull away in the end....but they are definately improving.

Cavs wake up from a first half sleep and pull away in the 3rd quarter against a game Jackson team tonight. Tale of two halfs (actually 1 1/2 qtrs). Cavs led in scoring my Jalen Ragland with 19 and Tyler Manion with 14 pts (along with 6 assists, 6 rebounds and 4 steals). Manion easily player of the game. Jackson shot lights out in the first half as Cavs moved around in quick sand. A 14-7 Jackson lead early in the 2nd turned into a 10-0 spurt (or more) to put the Cavs ahead. However, Jackson rallies to take the lead by 1 at the half (23-22).

Game was over by the end of the 3rd qtr. Cavs put up close to 30 points while holding Jackson to 9 points. Cavs blow game open by 24 plus, before Cavs emptied bench early in the 4th quarter. Jackson left in a few of their starters (including #4 who is a nice ball player) and the Ironman outscored the Cavs down the stretch to make it a 15 point win for the Cavs.

Cavs back at it tomorrow in one of the top High School events in the country in Dayton (Kettering). Flyin to the Hoop is 3 days of hoop madness with quite a few of the games televised on ESPNU. Cavs do battle with D1 Springfield at 12 noon.

What was up with the elbows? I know #4 clocked issac with one....that couldve gotten out of hand early....no disrespect but I think the Cavs knew it was gonna be a blowout game and Jackson suprised them through 11/2 quarters, shooting lights out....nic to see ALOT of the bench play in the 4th quarter...a win is a win,on to play Springfield tomorrow....go cavs!

Chilly could have won by more but what is there to prove, class act by coach Kellough, winning by 30 doesnt mean you are the best in the seo.
