Alot of coaches really benefit from not having a shot clock. Some coaches would have to do a complete 360 with how they coach

BRING IT ON...I THINK IT WOULD BE GREAT TO WATCH. BUT THEN NOT A LOT OF TEAMS TAKE 30-35 SEC0NDS TO SHOOT.

California uses a 45 second shot clock if I'm not mistaken.

I wouldn't think the OHSAA would do this because I don't see the need for it. Plus, I can't imagine the cost schools would incur to install shot clocks as well as the confusion of finding someone to operate the shot clock properly.

I say go for it. Put in a 45 second clock and extend quarters to 10 minutes

Putting in a shot clock for HS wouldn't be a bad idea for some teams.

Most of the teams that I have watched play of late, can't run a half court motion offense and will usually turn the ball over after 3 passes or have already shot the ball within the first 15 seconds of their possession.

I would like a 45 sec. cl.

It gives a team with "lesser" talent a better chance to beat a team with "better" talent. Why for goodness sake, gahs4ever, do you think "Ozzieball" would have been as effective as it was with a shot clock? And I might add that there was a coach at Warren, (I'll withhold the name), that played a similiar style of ball that beat some really good teams because there was "NO" shot clock! " I LOVE THIS GAME"

i run the clock for our home games at oak hill and i don't like that idea i know sometime game may seem boring but it is how some teams play ball. I would hate to have to learn 2 clocks one is hard enough sometime.

When OUSC had a basketball team, it was my understanding that only 2 people were able to run the shot clock. I would think it would be a bit more difficult than a football play clock. The football play clock never has to be reset until after a play giving you plenty of time to get ready. The basketball shot clock would be much more demanding and less forgiving if a mistake was made.

I'm just guessing, but I'd say there are way more high school athletes that don't play college sports than there are that do.

The shot clock would be nice to speed up some of those teams who make every possession last an eternity, but I think there are too many cons against it. Something would be nice to speed up some of those games, though.

Dont forget people, any rule put into play at the high school level will be enforced down to the 7th grade level. Now, double your cost to install, double the amount of people ot run it. Also, imagine some of the jr high boys and girls teams trying to get a shot off under even more pressure! lol

I think a shot clock would be great for even more excitting b ball. IT would make the coach change his style and make some teams better and some worse.Some people did not like the 3 point shot when it first came out now everybody loves it.

A shot clock in the OHSAA will never happen. But I would like to see them stop the clock, under a minute in the 2nd half after a made bucket. I think it would benefit to a more exciting game.
