The winner of this game takes on the winner of Spring Valley vs Chesapeake.

This sets up a possible rematch of Ironton vs Chesapeake Saturday night at 9pm.

I like Ironton,but playing Chesapeake again is gonna make for rough sledding,what a schedule Ironton has had to play,could make for tough tourney draw,but you have to beat the best sooner or later.

Nothing against Midland because those last two teams they played are VERY good and they stayed fairly close. Ripley has a guy who has signed with Wake Forest and got to watch him play Saturday. He is for real and they didnt blow them out of the water. But I think Ironton wins by 20. Even though Spring Valley beat Midland I dont think they will come close to matching up with Chesapeake either. I would say a rematch is inevitable.

I think Ironton's position on scheduling, as an independent, is go ahead and play a tough schedule. It wont matter what ironton's schedule is, the conference teams hang tight in the draw anyway. If you are going to take it at the draw, might as well prepare your team for the tourney. I guess you can pad your resume with an easy schedule, but most of the time, that only gets you beat in the districts....

what time is this game supposd to be played?..the weather may cause them to postpone it, also Ironton had a few kids sick on tuesday when played them, are they all healthy now?

Not a speck of snow all day in Huntington. Looks like on the radar it has snowed over the whole state of Ohio except southern Lawrence county. Must be our pollution in the air melting it before it hits the ground. As of 4:30 it still looks good. Not saying it wont hit but i'm keeping my fingers crossed. Would like to at least get the first game in tonight with Peake and Spring Valley. I dont think they will cancel altogether. May have to move some games around or something.....Maybe even play on Sunday?

It started snowing here in Ironton about 5-5:30 and it's still pouring snow. Our temps, however have been above freezing [my thermometer says 32.7 now] so there's an inch or so on the grass, but only a light dusting accumulated on pavements. As the temp falls through the night that's undoubtedly going to turn into a nice slick glaze of ice. Safe travel to all!

Listening online. Had to make it back before the roads got too bad! Ironton should win this one pretty easily, but you never know. Good luck to the Tigers!
