Re: "The People's Elite 8" week 3 sponsored by datchillicav
I'll tell u how he can put a 4 loss team at 1, Its easy(Bendolph)
he mKes this team complete.they would beat th peake

1.Ports
2.Chilli

Yes we shall see.
You have beat one team who is now a 5-6 loss team and we are all supposed to be so impressed. Congrats you beat Ironton, we have now beaten them twice.
Portsmouth was what 7th last week, and now they are 1st, I don't buy it. Again, I'll judge Portsmouth when they play Chili.

meanwhile Chesapeake has answered every call and beaten teams down, see Gallia, and lost a single game to the best AAA team in WV by a single point. Your resume is not on par with Chesapeake, not yet.

I have Peake ahead of Chilli because they "deserve" it more. I do think Chilli would win a head to head match up and I don't think Peake would beat either team Chilli has lost too. However you have to show up against the big teams on your schedule and getting beat by 25 after playing terribly against Logan is not showing up. A good week by Chilli or a loss by Peake could change it back next week.
I have Portsmouth 3 because I think they are playing THE BEST ball of any team in SEO right now. I cannot disregard the early season entirely though so that is why they are not higher.
I have Logan Elm where I do because I believe they play a tougher conference schedule than most teams on the list and I have immense respect for what that program does each and every year. Coaching gives them the benifit of the doubt every time.

Don't get me wrong Portsmouth is better then I thought and is a good team, but because they beat Ironton pretty good they are playing better then everyone?
Did Chesapeake not just beat that same team Ironton for the second time and this time on a neutral court. They also played the #1 team in AAA in WV to a 1 point loss that they led a majority of the game.
I am still failing to see how Portsmouth is playing better then Chesapeake oreveryone else for that matter.
Just saying.

Chesapeake has played Parkerburg South, Spring Valley, Ironton (twice), Logan, WV, Athens, and Col. Africentric. I don't think Chesapeake is playing cupcakes.

No offense, but I am not impressed with anyone you play in WV because well it's WV. Other than Huntington Prep(which is an international team) , there are no teams in WV that are good enough to win a D2 district in Ohio. Let alone a regional or State. Occassionally there may be that one special exception of a team, but in general that is just how it is in almost every sport.
Please don't get mad. If you look at my rankings, I have Peake #1.

I take no offense. Logan is pretty good regardless of where they are from. The Williamson kid is a Wake Forest commit, so I know he can play.
I also remember the year Bellaire had Davis and Agnew they lost to Wheeling Park that year if I am not mistaken.
I get it, I know the WV schools are not great except Logan who could beat anyone on this list, but we are talking schools often times 3x the size of Chesapeake and they are smacking them in the mouth.
I just don't get the logic of how a team can be #1 with 4 losses and then hear people say they are playing the best basketball now because they beat Ironton, which is something like 5-6 other teams have done, including Chesapeake twice. CHesapeake beat Gallia by 50+ and Portsmouth beat them by what under 10? I'm sorry but Bendolph doesn't make up a 50 point difference. The funny thing is Portsmouth fans were saying you can't apply that rational in earlier conversations about the Gallia game, yet it is exactly how they are justifying their debate by beating Ironton by a few more points then Chesapeake did. Just ironice in my mind. I don't see people who are voting who have played both putting Portsmouth ahead of Chesapeake, dunno I must be crazy.

I wouldn't say Logan couldn't win your district in d2 imo. I have seen plenty of Huntington High teams, a few Capital, etc that were very good teams. I do agree on most occassions those WV teams are not great, but I watched some Greenfield teams with the d2 district that were not great imo besides one player that I saw a lot of WV schools that would have won your district. Anyways.
Re: "The People's Elite 8" week 3 sponsored by datchillicav
last point. Portsmouth regardless of who is back has lost 4 games, and Chesapeake has lost 1 by a single point. Not to mention that you lost to Chilli and Warren on this list, yet all of the Trojan fans are jumping their team over Warren and Chilli. Don't you have to beat those teams first before you can jump them?
