Barnesville plays Trail Friday.Fort Frye @ Frontier Friday then its tourney time.Barnesville is big and a zone team.They could find some succes with 14 driving and dishing to 13 , 20, and 00.Fort Frye is a lot quicker and play very good at home.They should have the edge in shooting as well.It will be somewhat low scoring with FFs tough man to man defense. Look for FF to win this one. Shamrocks will not have seen man "d" like FF's all season.

Most of the Cadet Fans know nothing about them, thou I suspect D'spy does as he gets to so many games.

I went and watched Barnesville play Tuesday and they were better then I thought.The PG did hurt his foot.Not sure how the Rocks lost to Beallsville and Caldwell.They rarely run man to man so FF should have some open 3s

Jeckyl and Hyde team. Were once sitting at 6-6, now 11-6. They are very big and long. Their bigs are pretty good athletes and jumpers. They will look to block shots alot in the paint. Pump fakes will get you to the FT line and neutralize some of their size. Weakness is depth at gaurd, particularly ballhandlers.

They play Trail, Beallsville, Caldwell, Shadyside, Steubenville Catholic, Union Local, MC, Shenandoah, Meadowbrook, Bridgeport. Not exactly murderers row. MC, UL, Beallsville only teams with winning records and Barnesville does not own a winning record vs. them.

Is it me, or does Barnesville play like 3/4 of the PVC in both basketball and football. Make it easy and just join the league already.

I'm for Barnesville being in PVC.It would make an even 8 teams.

In football, they've played Caldwell, Trail, Monroe Central, and Shenandoah all in the same season for as far back as I could find. I'm not sure what the travel would be like for them to go to Fort Frye, Frontier, and River though.

It would be another 30-40 minutes from Caldwell to Beverly.

I went to Barnesville Tuesday and the drive was pretty cool.I like driving over Seneca lake.Also the school at Barnesville is pretty cool.

Agreed. I've always enjoyed going to Barnesville for games. I think they'd be a great fit for the PVC. Hopefully they'll make the move sometime in the future.

Fort Frye wins 56-53!It was a good game.The 3 pointing team vs the big interrior team.Barnesville stuck to zone way to long.Trailing by 9 in the 3rd FF made 5 straight 3s on the zone before Barnesville switched to man.FF missed 10 free throws in the 4th.Back to Back to Back possessions FF missed a free throw and Barnesville chucked up really bad threes.Barnesville made a 3 with 1 second left to end the game.FF made probably 11 or 12 3s.GREAT GAME.

Points for the Cadets, Zack 17, Shon 14, Garrett 12.

At least 40 of the Rocks points came in the paint.

They forced every posssession down low with three big guys waiting.

Cadets lucky to win this one...imho.

rematch MC vs. FF for OVAC championship. should be a dandy. MC is on something like a 14 game winning streak.

River choked tonight. couldnt hit a shot from the arch. their kryponite is Man to Man defense. they don't set picks well nor do they shoot well off a screen. I'll out on a limb and say they get upset by frontier in sectionals. they are riding a 2 game losing streak now and would look for them to get beat at barnesville friday.
