The SE District has a 75% chance of sending a D3 team to the state, because 3 teams will advance to the regionals, with the East District sending only 1 team.

I would never bet on HS sports, but, I would take ZT to cover and Huntington to straight up win against your calculations in an instant.
I'll definitely be following this closely, as lines and spreads are very interesting to me.

My only question (and it is a question) is how this kind of "information" impacts those who play the game and those who coach it and have to prepare their kids to overlook this kind of "fun."
I am not offended in the least and it wouldnt matter if I was. Im only thinking of the bigger picture. If admin agrees that this topic should stay, I have no problem at all with it. Im not always right, and that's why the staff works as a team.
Dont take it personal.
I concure. Although I may partake in the college and Pro lines, and odds I really do not believe this type of activity belongs on a high school forum. However as gahs4ever stated if the powers that be allow it then I would never argue that this is America and freedom of speech does play a factor here. All in good fun!
I seem to remember that when I was in Jr. High that a local Scioto County bookie was arrested for putting a Portsmouth West football game on a college/pro line card, and that was for AMUSEMENT ONLY!

Looks like everyone has a chance to make it out of sectional and on to the state tournament.... hmmmm.
Hope the bookies don't pay off any players to cover point spreads...

uuhhh, Nelsonville is a #7 seed and has to play 2 games to get out and you have them at (15-1) Meigs is a #2 seed and only has to play 1 game and you have them at (30-1). You probably should have at least looked at the brackets before you set the lines. Dont hold your breath for a job in vegas. You would bankrupt a casino in a month!

Ill take:
$10,000 on Fairland
$10,000 on Alexander
$10,000 on Southeastern
$10,000 on River Valley
$10,000 on Nelsonville York
$25,000 on meigs
$25,000 on Wellston
I have the money in cash. I just sold my house so where can i meet you at to make these bets. You are the oddsmaker that i have been dreaming about! No more day job, baby!

so, just want to clarify,
IF: Wellston plays River Valley we can expect wellston to win that game 1 out of 100 times.
BUT: if River Valley plays Wellston we can expect River Valley to win that game 1 out of 9 times.
IF: Meigs plays Nelsonville we can expect meigs to win 1 out of 30 times.
Maybe i should just keep my mouth shut. again, where can i meet you, I hate carrying this much cash around.

The numbers you are mentioning are the odds of them making it out of the sectional, not comparing and head to head matchups. I think these calculations need to be redone after the brackets are taken into consideration. For example, Wellston plays River Valley, so one of them will make it out of the sectional, therefore their odds of 100-1 and 9-1 are not accurate.

4th, wow thanks for enlightening me! they are head to head matchups because thats who they play to get out of the sectional. meigs will most likely play nelsonville and River valley does play wellston. If they play head to head then the odds would be the same for them to make it out. you must be through my eyes assistant. now give the brain you share back to my eyes, i want to talk to him.
