River got manhandled tonight. poor showing by the pilots. its obvious they can't hand the pressure of man to man defense.

69 - 47. something around there. i left when they were down 18.

Correction to the above posts: River had trouble scoring and matching up at all, really, vs. MC's man to man. All others (except FF) that have tried to play man vs. them have failed. MC is nearly as quick and is MUCH bigger than River. Thus River's strengths on offense are negated by teams like MC. The Pilots are hard-pressed to score in the same manner vs. the 'Noles, that they can vs. all the D-4 teams on their schedule. To use a famous quote: " It's more about the Jimmy's and Joe's, than about the X's and O's, when diagnosing the root cause of RHS vs. MC.

I will add, though, that playing with a high level of intensity for the entire game goes a long way toward being successful.

No, not yet been played. It wil be played this Fri. Feb. 25th @ Barnesville.

Kind of bad timing for the River-Barnesville game as the MC and River girls play in sectional final at Cambridge same night I believe.
