I see this a similar game to the Barnesville game last night except WM don't have multiply bigs.If Garrett don't get agressive FF will have problem.Fort Frye has a lot of wing scorers in Zach Eddy 6-4,Donald Hilverding 5-9,Shon Smith 5-8,Eddie Watson 5-10,and Kyle Schwendeman.Smith has got so much better he is a stud and can get to the whole.FF has6 Srs so this team has been here before.6-5 Garrett Legraen needs to be a beast vs Click.Zach Eddy has improved his interrior D.Its a tough 1st game and should be real close.

West M is easily better then Barnesville. Jordan Wilson from West M is the best guard FF will have seen this year, and yes that includes Farnsworth. This should be a good game but FF got a bad draw here, IMO.

Jordan Wilson is not close to Austin Cunningham or Brett Farnsworth.He is a decent guard but he is not even as good as Smith.

Forgot about Cunningham, he is in the conversation with him though. I have watched both he and Farnsworth numerous times, the only thing farnsworth does better is shoot the ball. Wilson can get to the rim on anyone, is a better athlete, and an outstanding defender. Smith isn't in this conversation, maybe in a few more seasons as he is still young. I think people will realize that they shorted West at the draw which is to be expected when several teams from one league are in the same sectional, it happens everywhere. Fort Frye will have to play very well to beat them. There are atleast five teams in the MVL that would have won the PVC this season and New Lex would have been top three as well. They had a strong year.

They should have a tougher league its mostly bigger schools TV is D3.This will be a close one but FF is the favorite.FF has way more weapons.Watson did not even play the 1st time these 2 played.Shon Smith has been in beast mode as of late he can get to the hole and shoot.I have watched Wilson he is decent.

I'll take West M. by 5.

The Cadets will deal with size in every game the rest of the year.Its going to come down to if they make the 3.

FF wins OVAC at the buzzer over 3 seed MC.Fort Frye has a great season beating Waterford 2x,12-1 PVC,17-3 Overall ,PVC Champs,OVAC AA Champs.This has been a great rebounding season.I'm sure this will be a great game.

Big test for The Cadets, surely Dan is working them hard everyday & getting them focused on this game.

Maybe John runs practice today. Girls play at Cambridge tonight vs Union Local.

Boys were off tonight to go the girls game.Thurs will be a tough day and Friday will be a prep day,I have watched West M they are similar except FF has more weapons.Click is better then Garrett inside but Garrett is more athletic and quicker.Wilson is good but don't matchup with Smith,Hilverding,Eddy,and Watson.If FF knocks down the 3 they win.

Cadets win 56-55 in overtime.

Shon Smith had 33 points. Don't think he missed a shot in second half.
no other Cadet in double figures.
Colton Skinner was the defensive star of this game. He took on the big boy from WM when Garrett got in foul trouble.
All in all the Cadets made a lot of mistakes and shot poor (outside of Shon) the entire game.
Boys very lucky to win this one. They were down ten points at halftime, and four at the end of three.

For W. Musk. Wilson had 25, and the big boy Click had 19.

Matchup #4-----Monroe Central vs. Fort Frye next Saturday winner gets a trip to New Philidelphia.

FFs last 3 matchups with Tornados- 04 FF won 38-39 Sectional Semi.Matt Anderson tip in at Buzzer. 06 Sectional Final FF won by 4 in OT ..Engle was a Jr.Wes Kneviel 30 plus points 11 Sectional Semi- Shon drains 2 at buzzer to send OT.Shon Smith scores 33.FF 56-55

Point here is that FF has not been dominating outside the PVC vs. good teams. Winning yes,... and that's what counts in the tourney.

West Muskingum is a good D3 team.They beat St Clairsville last season.St C was better last season with Slavic then they are now.FF struggles at MBrook on the open side with bleachers behind the rim.You can tell by the 14 points at Half.They stepped it up in 2nd scoring 42 in 2nd and OT.FF also played most of the game without Garrett who was in foul trouble all night.Picked up 2nd early 1st.He probably played a little more then a qt total.Click the big 6-6 kid was also in foul trouble.Skinner 5-9 did a great job guarding him on D.
