Wellston beat the Vikes once at Wellston early in the season when Vinton Co. was not playing hard or very good offense. The Vikings are clicking right now and you know their going to come out 100% fired up and after the disrespectful comments from Wellston head coach after the last meeting between the two this makes this game an important one. The Vikings have won the T.V.C. outright no matter what but, are looking to get revenge on a sub-par team who really shouldn't have won in the first place. If the Vikings play good defense but, bad offense they will win by 15 if they play good "D" and "O" they will win by 30.

Come Support the eight seniors on this night as well. Jay Wiseman, Adam Ward, Levi Lawhead, Tyler Perry, Justin Breiniser, Bobby Walton, Matt Hatfield, and Shaun Amerine. The seniors will be walked down during the intermission between the JV and Varsity game.

Very disrespectful comments aimed at a very young Rockets team Who has exceeded all expectations of them this year. One senior on their team. They Start 3 sophmores at times! To call them sub-par is ridiculous! Vinton County has a great Basketball team! and the rockets will certainly have their work cut out come friday night! Good luck Rockets!

I agree, Wellston has improved this year.
I live in Vinton County and support Vinton County, but blasting another teams fortunes does not do anything for anyone...Yes, I will jab at Boilermaker from time to time, but just fooling around and all in good fun. I dont get caught up in the Coach Derrow jabs just for the simple reason that It doesnt matter...its all about the kids and nothing else. If Derrow said or did something wrong (dont know if he did/ dont care) thats between him and Wellston.
Matter of fact, other than when the schools play each other, we should all be glad to see the rival schools of our conference do good and improve. Its the only way for our conference to improve and be respected.

IMO, VC defense has improved that much
