Since nobody else has started it I will. Both teams battled in the Sectionals against their opponents. These two teams have never met until now. Who does everyone have?

Sounds like it is going to be a very physical game since neither team is shy about getting physical.

Both teams have improved throughout the season.

Joe Michael's brother helped lead Whiteoak to the Elite 8 in 2003....the year before one of his other brothers led Whiteoak to the Final 4......hoping Whiteoak can make another long run in the tourney.

Should be a very good game.

Sounds like an interesting game. Like I stated before, this is the best chance SG has ever had advancing in the Districts. Nothing against Whiteoak, its just the past two times SG has made it, they met South Webster during the Jeeps run of dominance.

Sounds like SG better practice on taking charges this week in practice. Officials usually let things get rough in District play but they better keep a close eye on this one. I can't wait to see how physical this one gets.

Good luck to the Rebels. If the Rebels play their game and hit their shots and play defense like they did against SV they could win this game. Rebels by 7

Yeah, but he sees VERY limited playing time. SG is your typical SG team, not very big but very scrappy and will get physical if they need to. SG starts 5 juniors and goes about 7 deep but they are in good physical shape and love to run with the ball. They also play pretty good D and are all over the glass (atleast against SV they were). Like I said, typical SG team, what they lack in size they make up for in heart and hustle.

Whiteoak is very similiar. Their tallest player is about 6'2" but they get after it on defense and hustle on every possession. Ive heard SG has gotten progressively better as the season has went on but based on the only knowledge I have of the rebels(a scrimmage in the preseason against Peebles) I think Whiteoak claws there way through a dog fight by 3.

The Rebels have the Matney twins who are around 6'3". One plays more of a post game and the other a forward game but both can play inside and oustside and both have a nose for the ball, especially at rebounding. I don't know how many double-doubles these two have combined but it's a lot of them I'm sure. The three other starters are around 6' and can all play Defense. SG is the same as they have always been which is give 100 percent and push the tempo (although Coach Saunders slowed it down against SV). Coach Saunders has always called they type of play that SG plays "organized chaos". I can't wait for this matchup, this could be one of the most physical at the Convo.
