Anybody know who won MVP awards at this evening's winter sports awards ceremony at Gallia Academy High School. Had a Gallipolis Lions Club meeting and was unable to attend.

Boys MVP: Ethan Moore Girls MVP: Samantha Barnes

Moore and Barnes both had great senior years! Can't wait to see them in college play.

And both were very deserving of these awards in spite of their "relationships" to the staff.

Shame on any of you spouting off differently.

Lets look at the over all team stats!!! Put them up!!!

BBall and those of you who question the choices why don't you experts tell everyone who you think should have won. I will also bet forever is correct none you were at one game for either of these teams. Just always wanting to stir crap. I would be willing to bet if you wanted all the stats you could ask the coaches but that won't happen.

Where are both of them playing college ball at? Moore is he playing Football?

Thats why numbers are down player wise and will get worst. And stats I have kept my share.and you don't have to attend when no how its going to end. thats a bad problem at GA and getting worst, no broken record just facts. live with it some will and some will go so be it!!!

back to sports awards your running them away when its not fair. Stats !!!and I DON'T THINK THEY SHOULD COACH THERE OWN KID!!! In "2" years the next MVP then they will step down!!! bad for the game.

JMO, A lot of schools always have and always will keep the "good kids and good families" happy at award time but it does tend to alienate a lot of other families with good student athletes who would otherwise participate in a lot of extracurricular activities if they felt it was a level playing field in their particular school district. A lot of times the season stats are thrown aside when the powers that be choose someone that didn't lead in any statistical or core categories during the season per say but had the intangibles, effort, teamwork habits and other things that set them apart according to the "committee" that does the selections. It outta be for what's done on the field, court, etc. but it's usually done like the "homecoming queen" ballots are done, it becomes a popularity contest. I've seen a lot of kids in different school districts not participate because of this very thing but what can you do.

bball you make no sense in some of your post about stats do you beleive in them or not. i also take from your post your issue is with the boys mvp. how many games did you attend? as for stirring i think your record speaks for its self.

to be honest it wouldn't matter who got what somebody is not going to be happy. in the near future their will be other issues for people to be negative about!!!!

I believe in stats they don't lie, And I just said Amos was hurt early in the season !!! That hurt him in running for the MVP missing games!!! My beef is more on the girls side.

JMO On the girls side"DANIELS" WAS MVP!!!
