Dan Liedtke Eastern District COY Boys and Girls

Dan won both D3 East Boys Coach of the year and Girls coach of the year combined record of 39-6.Girls are 22-2 and just won a District title last night.Boys are 17-4 and just won a sectional title.Boys play Tuesday vs Ridgewood vs Garaway winner and Girls play Wed in Sweet 16 vs Africentric or Johnstown Monroe.He also has had great players Taylor Buchanan(15) won D3 Player of the year and Shon Smith(18.6) was 1st team all district.Other Cadets with Awards Dedra Combs 2nd team (13),Zach Eddy 2nd team(12ppg),Morgan Liedtke (8.9) 3rd team,Kyle Schwendeman (10) 3rd team,Brooke Borich Hon Mention,and Chan Lang Hon Mention.

That guy really does an incredible job. Laughing at those few people who whined about his doing both, saying it would do one or the other a disservice. All the success is also a reflection on the two programs as a whole - the kids, assistants, community, etc.

i was checking on the schedules. if both teams win their next game, they will both play on March 10th. Girls would be at Athens at 1:30 and then boys at St. Clairsville at 7. It would take roughly 2 and a half hours to get from one place to the other. That would be a tight squeeze of time, if these two teams advance

Coach Liedtke has done a great job this year. It seems like coaching the girls has been good for him. It looks to me like he's changed up his communication and coaching style a little bit and the teams are competing well late into the year.
