I just want to post to maybe remind everyone that this site is all about "YOUTH" athletics and the players do read on here quite often.
I officiate games throughout southeast Ohio and players have asked me about the site...
Some of the post I read on here are down right degrading to the kids....Come on people, we are mostly adults that post on here, we of all people should be able to show respect to the youth athletes.
I went over & watched the D4 match up between Eastern Pike & Manchester last night & must say that the place was rocking and filled with pure excitement. Both teams played their complete hearts out & left everything they had on the floor....That is what it is all about, win or lose....
And I am sure the players do not want to get on here today & be down graded by us "adults"...
It is not only post from that game, we read it on here all of the time from several games....
Let the kids be kids & enjoy this great time in their lives enjoying their athletics!

exactly, why dont you pay attention to your own words. Officiating is horrible this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One minute it is a tight called game next it is not. No consistency at all.

On the first point i agree with RyanExpress be careful what is said. Although if they are the topic or their team it is hard to talk around them. Last but not least since you brought up officiating, In OHIO they need to learn what a eurostep is and a Jump orJump Hop step is or quit officiating. If a kid can jump 2 feet or ten feet its still a jump stop!!!

As long as both feet land at the same time, I agree

IMO, it is one of the most missed calls I see. These kids are extremely talented and fast these days. The officials overall do a great job, but A's with all of us could improve. In the 70/80 timescale, we called it Southern Ohio vs Northern Ohio officiating
A's for the real topic, I think 99% of the posters on here do respect the kids, the coaches and the programs overall. However, there are some who just can't help themselves, but that is the nature of electronic and social media. I have one rule. If I won't say it to your face, I won't say it on here. Than if I will say it to your face, is it necessary to say it on here.

I was reading a thread yesterday where the discussion was about Portsmouth s upcoming game, and I couldn't help but noticing that someone called a player out by name and announced that this player was "on an IEP"...this really bothered me because that type of personal information needs to stay confidential (legally), and sure has heck shouldn't be announced on a public forum like this one...just sayin, didn't understand why that type of personal information about a high school kid needs to be publicized on here

Unfortunately, I can't read every post or every thread ... if anyone sees or reads something inapropriate - just P.M. me ... I'll take care of it.
