Who's interesting in the job? Tigers have some pieces to work with next year.. JP White, Hart, and several others will be able to compete. I hear Trevon Bolin may be returning to the court next year as well.

This was a very difficult decision for Coach Robertson to make but those who know the situation understand why he stepped away and this moment in time. Before anyone posts a stupid rumor or personal opinion you need to talk to him personally. The man should be highly respected for making a gut wrenching decision he didn't want to make.
Thanks to Travis Robertson for the years he spent guiding the Tigers to back to back to back Sectional titles and a District Championship, two accomplishments not seen at Waverly in 40 and 30+ years. Many people will never know the time and dedication he and his family put into Waverly basketball.
The Tigers will have a nice core group to build around with Hart, White, Heibel and Rinehart. Summer is when it begins and we'll see who is dedicated to Waverly basketball.
Maybe, just maybe the last coach to guide the Tigers to a District championship (1980) will be interested.

If this is true, I'm sorry to see him go. Travis is a good coach and person. Hope he's back on the sidelines down the road.

Waverly will be a tuff spot to fill they lost the farm this season . White is ok, Hart is a good roll player ,Hieble is ok , Pearl was the 6th man at Eastern last year. Boling hasn't played in a bit. The fans are going to have to be patient for a few years till the program gets back on its feet there's no real go to guy on the roster and there league is loaded.

I think the nucleus returning could really set down and guard and be a competitor in the conference. I certainly do not see why not. Wheelersburg, Minford, etc will all be tough but certainly not overwhelming.

I don't see them any where near the top maybe a 5-7 win team. They won't be able to score and to physicaly out matched to deffend the paint. Great bunch of kids that will work hard for who ever is the coach just don't have the horses to compeat.

Just heard the Waverly team GPA was 3.4+, ranking in the top 30 of the State. Congrats guys on the hard work and to Travis and assistants for pushing these guys not only on the court but also in the classroom.

So Travis stepped down to spend time watching his kids play but he is now interviewing at Chillicothe? Hmmm.

Crab, Travis did not interview at Chillicothe. He was suppose to yesterday but withdrew his application before the interview. He resigned at Waverly and a week later the Chillicothe job came open. Yes, he applied for it but after having time to think about it he decided he still needed to step away. He will coach again, just a matter of when.
Waverly has one internal applicant. They had 2 but 1 withdrew. Word is they may not look outside.
