Heard Waverly retired Jake's jersey during the banquet last night. What a great honor for a fine young man.
Jake holds several records at Waverly and has recieved many awards during his H.S. career.
Thought it would be interesting for people to post some of his accomplishments; H.S. & AAU

Don't know the criteria but if anyone deserved it, it would be Jake.

I totally agree but I was always told First team All State......Waverly soccer has technically 2 kids with that honor Luke Purpero 3 times First team All Ohio and Chris Wiget ....Clay Williamson was District POY which now automatically makes you First Team didnt at the time he was awarded this honor(2001.) Luke who still sits 2nd in goals scored in Ohio High School soccer History. but nothing in any trophy cases for these players. Not to take away from Jake as he is well deserved of this award. I am not familiar with situation with other "secondary" sports but to those kids not to be recognized is a shame. Jake is arguably the best bball player in Waverly History. There may never be another like Luke or if there is it will be long way off. Getting off my soapbox. Congrats Jake it was an honor watching you play for 4 years.
