I saw some great players at the Macker this weekend. One that stood out to me was in the 15 yr old division, Scott was the kids last name. This kid looks to have a complete game as a freshman. Any thoughts or other great players?

I started a thread about the Ironton Gus Macker weeks ago which got largely ignored.

Now you choose to chime in with a new topic on the same subject - Why?
I love the Gus Macker in general and go every year for the total experience - which, by definition, is much more about "team" and "community" than any "individual standouts"!

Not my son but the nephew of my good friend.... Fishing yeah probably, I have watched this kid play alot of ball, mostly before he transfered schools a couple years ago. He reminds me alot of his uncle who was a standout basketball player for RH in the late 70's. I only got to see one of his games Saturday and in that game I think he had 7 or 8 blocks against a much bigger post player. I did watch the kid from Huntington Prep alot Stephan not sure of the spelling.. also a great player 6'10" maybe? Sorry I stepped on your previous post though.

flapjack, every post you have ever made is about this kid. I really don't want to get into proving your identity but one post you made at the begining gives it all away. It's the one where you talk about having coached an upcoming transfer for St. Joe and they played point for you. That pretty much narrows it down. Every parent who has a kid that plays sports is proud of their kid but I don't know any that continually starts posts indirectively about their own so they can get their name out there. Have enough faith that your kid can make a name for himself. He is a good ball player.

cage, I was thinking the same thing. The macker is more about "community" than anything. It's about being able to go down the street and see one game after another with people you know around the county participating in "streetball" and having fun doing it.
