Thoughts?

Meigs still has a game with Eastern where Meigs can make it 7 straight wins

Meigs has won 7 straight. Athens is coming off a break. I have a feeling this will be high scoring.

Griffin Lutz 23 ppg
Athens 67 ppg. My guess is Athens will be at 75 ppg after 22 games

The style of play will benefit Athens. The zone will not slow down Athens shooters. I think Athens' depth and speed will be the difference. Athens by 20.

Go TVC.

If Meigs can play like they played in Tennessee and have 3 boys getting 22, 19 and 19 points like they did when upsetting Holly Pond, then it will be a game. Worse case we need at least 2 of them hitting 19 or 20 and it would be close. If we only have one scoring 19 or 20, then it will be hard for us to win.

We played different in Tennessee and didn't just play the zone, we actually mixed it up and we played physical. We didn't have a great game against Eastern (Reedsville) But still managed to get the win.

We won't be able to play like that and beat Athens.

Meigs 65
Athens 62

Although will probably be cancelled :(

Was it Meigs decision or Athens decision not to have it? I know Athens schools was closed way before they decided to close Meigs schools.

Dang, not sure why we wouldn't have, unless they thought the gravel country roads were a factor.

Athens is getting two players back from injury next week, so no biggie. Im sure coach Cozart would rather play Meigs at full strength anyway. ;)

Suspended? That must be hearsay. Only two players have missed any games. Micah Saltzmen (wrist) & Brody Ball (knee).

Even if a HS student-athlete was suspended would it be necessary to mention his/her name??? Again these are hs students that are not getting College paid for or cost of attendance checks etc.

Athens bench is getting deeper as we speak. What a great "problem" for the Head coach to now have, trying to decide when and which capable bench players to Sub in to give the starting 5 a breather here and there or to now be able to press all night long if he so desires-kudos to Athens for going 6-1 with a limited bench-Dalton Cozart, Hynes and even Griffin will have a chance to catch some breathers from here on out and maybe some "pressure" taken off their shoulders as some "talented and athletic" bench players begin to assume their roles
