Eastern might be the favorite here, but the game is in Ironton and st. joe returns two real good players and troy scott is going to be a factor this year for the flyers. This is likely to be a preview of a sectional championship game.

Nice win for the Eagles on the road last night..i thought Eastern may have been a little tired coming off a hard fought win vs Wellston but they really stepped up the 2nd half..energy on defense was much better than in 1st half. St.Joe has a nice ball club. I wouldn't be surprised to see them at the Convo. For Eastern,Pickett played very well and guards knocked down open shots late in game. Way to go Eagles now get ready for a good Oak Hill team on Tuesday.

Flyers played well the 1st half but got tired in the 2nd half. Eastern is a very good team that is well coached. The Flyers travel to East on Tuesday in what should be another close game between these two teams

I'm glad we go the Flyers early in the season I can see this team winning 14-16 games this year . I'm not familiar with there schedual but in the SOC 1 I can see them 3rd behind us and Notre Dame they are a very good team and Maghman (sp) had the quietest 21 I think I have ever seen. Good luck to you guys this year you have a good team and nice coaching.

It's Mahlmeister or "Yeagermeister" as several players and fans from Eastern called him.

Also, I'm not sure what a "quiet 21" really means.

Either way, Eastern is solid all the way around. I would expect them to contend for the SOC 1 title and likely make a long tournament run.

Quiet means he didn't dominate the ball takeing tons of shoots to get his 21 he got them in the flow of the game not forceing the action.

Yeagermeister and Maghman are two new pronunciation/misspellings that I haven't encountered in 47 years. Got to add them to the list.

Hate to have missed the game. Heard Eastern was top notch team and seems to have shown it last night, especially in the second half. Will catch my first Flyers game at East on Tuesday.
