Rockets may be in for a long night. Bulldogs, despite a couple injuies, have enough guns to win this one.

I wish your guys thoughts were true - but Wellston isn't 3-1 by accident.
If Athens was 100% - I may agree ... not sure how things will play out though if any 'Dogs are in street cloths Friday.

Wouldn't have guessed that score ever.
Wellston must've played a lot better defense and took better shots.

Athens had a horrible shooting night. Missing layups left and right. Awful technical down the stretch on Athens changed momentum, but Athens had chances and missed multiple shots to tie or take the lead. Bulldogs banged up, tough loss at home. Young team will rebound. Bulldogs played down tonight. 48-46 was final.

Even though Athens suffered a loss tonight, I still believe it's a race between Athens and VC for the ohio. Wellston is to prone to losses from weaker tvc teams, as in the past, they get a little careless. But wow, wellston really showed up tonight, I can't wait to see what they do with the rest of the season,

Good observation Ty ... lol
Look, if you don't show up to play Wellston - you could easilly get beat ... VC probably won't have that problem seeing as its a rivalry game ... but they play pretty good defense - it looks like a man-to-man on the perimeter - but the 6-foot-6 Ousley never leaves the paint giving the Golden Rockets a "Jack Hart" affect in the middle ... the kid can play up around the rim and makes life difficult for you inside ... then you have a 6-foot-4 250-pound space eater in Andrew Richards who stays close to the basket and gobbles up missed shots ... and don't overlook 6-foot-3 Toriano Smith, he can do just about everything ... dribble, shoot, rebound and he hustles all around the court playing good defense and diving for balls ... but the player that surprised me was Dakota Brown, he looked a lot better and much faster/quicker than he was last year ... or maybe he just didn't get opportunities with Craig always running point - whatever the case was/is - he's a pretty good little ball player.
With all that being said, Athens still could have easilly won by 10+ had they just knocked down shots from the outside ... they were just down right horrible from beyond the arc for some reason ... but hey, its high school basketball - it happens.

@93Bulldog Brown is and has always been a player.. He just knows how to play his role. Last year he didnt have to do it all as guard because he had his brother Craig which was a great tandem to watch. But, now brown has to do it and he knows that's his role. I believe he is one of the best pure athletes to come around our town for awhile. He was a great football player too. The only senior this year that was all-TVC twice. All-State his junior year and would have this year but his car accident he had ij the summer made him miss the first two games..he come straight in week 3 and started for us without even practicing all summer. That also just shows how tough he is! Excited to see how the rockets do with the great team they have!!!!

No way Smith is 6'3
Excellent rebounder and great hustle though.
