Wish I could go to this one. Got to watch Logan Elm beat Canal Winchester 64-45 tonight.

Logan Elm is a guard oriented team that plays tough defense. Tonight was the most points they've given up in their first four games.

I'm concerned about this game, as LE will not have much time to prepare for Athens. Should be good.

What does Athens have this year?

It's a tripleheader, starting at 5pm.

Should be a good game. Logan Elm is playing well and moving well around the floor on both offense and defense. You'll see Logan Elm play at a higher tempo on offense than it has in the past couple of years. Logan Elm's varsity roster is comprised entirely of juniors.

LOGAN ELM HIGH SCHOOL QUESTION.

IS THE ADDRESS ON THE SCHOOL WEB SITE CORRECT AND IS THAT WHERE THEY PLAY THEIR BASKETBALL GAMES?

IT SAYS 9575 TARLTON ROAD, CIRCLEVILLE OHIO

of course mapquest shows a completely different address when you type in LE High School - so I wanna make sure we get to the correct location.

The address is correct. The high school gymnasium is located behind the high school in the middle school.

... after the home loss to WEllston , Athens' Coach Skinner said he was excited to see what his team was made of going into tonights contest at Logan Elm ... the 56 -53 W on the road, in the Braves House will go along way in telling Coach what type of fortitude his troops have - he'll be satisfied the Bulldogs have what it takes to take on the best in Southern/Southeast Ohio ... Congratulations to the Bulldogs on the BIG win vs LE tonight ... Coach Stiverson defensive strategy is to hold opponents to less than 50 points - when your opponent gets to 50 the game outcome can go anyway - and tonight it did for the Bulldogs ...

We had phone line problems. Wish we could have called the game. Incredible finish. Athens led by 15 early on. Went on 13-0 run to start. LE led by 2 at half and the Braves couldn't miss from outside. Excellent finish and LE missed a shot at the buzzer after Athens missed a pair of free throws. Great game.

We will have Athens-New Lex on Tuesday on Power 105.

sorry Floyd ... I'm not an electrician or telephone technician ... lol ... just a good ol fashion hoops junkie.

Athens played much better as a team tonight ... they didn't rely on Burrow & Watson to carry them offensively ... Burrow ended up with 15, Ellmore scored 11, the freshman Saltzmen with 9, fellow freshman Watson had 6, Ryan Leuhrman scored 7 and Sawers Summers had 8 ... TEAM EFFORT - THAT IS WHAT WINS BASKETBALL GAMES.

Logan Elm on the night ... 10 3-pointers (Young had five of them) ... tough to beat a team on their home floor when they drain 10 tri-fectas!

Athens overcame 27 turnovers and the 10 treys from Logan Elm to win. Elmores best game of his career! If he gets his touches he will add a lot to this team. Coach Skinner did a great job of substituting tonite and the variety of defenses they threw at the Braves was great to watch. It was an exciting game that had both crowds screaming the whole night.

Tough loss for the Braves. I was covering another game, but sounds somewhat similar to the tourney game last year. Athens has a big run. Logan Elm then has a big run. Then it's tight and Athens prevails.

Congrats to the Bulldogs on the win. Probably some teaching moments here for the Braves. LE travels to West Rushville on Tuesday to take on Fairfield Union.

I'd go as far as to say any/every game Jared Elmore scores in double digits - Athens will win. (or come close to winning depending on the opponent)

He makes a huge difference on offense when he's scoring and drawing attention down on the block.
