"If East plays the way there capable of playing they can play with any D-4 team in southern ohio."
I agree with this bold prediction. Last night Webster had a 6'6",6'3",and none of the guards under six foot all athletic, so I see no reason why an under sized Beavers team should win by 15+. Bias won't be stopped!!

Guess you haven't seen Eastern yet? Bias will b wore out by halftime with the smothering D from Eastern. Good Luck!

Bias is a beast teams have to basicly just try to contain everyone else. The losser of this game goes down by 2 games to Notre Dame with each of these 2 teams haveing a loss to Notre Dame. This will be a huge blow for whoever losses this big league game do to the fact I think they are the only 2 with a chance to beat the Titans in the league !!

I agree totally with lightle4. I haven't seen Eastern Brown or Reedsville Eastern, but Eastern Beavers guards will have to light it up all night from behind the three which they could do. Underneath there is no one, no one, to stop Bias, and I haven't even mentioned Craiger yet.

Which guard would you like to light it up? They got about 4 who can. Bias may get his, but Easterns guards will shut down Crager. Lightle is trying to be nice cuz it's his team, and I mean no ill towards East but Eastern is that good. Two players are not going to beat this team. Again good luck to both, and if East wins this game it Will be an upset. And it would change the league.

Just seen where East beat Webster on Saturday. Did not think the Tartans could beat the Jeeps even in the cracker jack box. The Eagles better be at their best in this one. At home, I will take the Eagles in a close one 65-61. The big kid and Crager can both fill it up on any given night. Eagles will need to make the big boy run.
Good luck Eagles!

I think Easterns depth at guard will help with Craiger and Bradford hopefully the big court will help with the impact Bias has in the game. The big Dyke kid for Eastern could make a huge impact in this game he is a big strong kid at 6'5-6'6 240 lbs maybe he can help with Bias on the block.

I agree lightle04, Matt Dyke could play a huge role tonight based on size and muscle to help out with Bias. He will likely be involved in a rotation with Pickett and Murphy. It will take all 3 of them tonight contributing on defense and on the boards, and obviously staying out of foul trouble. This one will be well worth the cost of the ticket so it should be a nice crowd.
East will want to slow the game down, while the Eagles want to outlet and push the ball up or hit it up the sideline for those transition buckets. Should be interesting to see tonight from the coaching aspect as well as contrasting styles of play. I for one am not surprised that East beat Webster, absolutley nothing against Webster. For one any team can beat another on any given night, Webster has played well so far and they are a solid team but it is HS basketball. Teams won't play well every night and East has a pretty obvious advanatge at home which plays a factor.
I'll say Eagles win 61-53

I agree that the Dyke boy has size, but correct me if I am wrong, this is his first year of playing basketball. Lack of experience will hurt him in a big game like this. I think Eastern will win this game if they can keep their big guys out of foul trouble and their guards hitting their shot tonight. East will try to shut the Lands boy down so the other guards need to be shooting good shots and making them. I will take the Eagles by 8.

I agree with the major lack of experience but he also is the biggest body the Eagles have and this could be just the type of situation that can get him playing time. Sometimes you need to throw players in the fire a little bit to see how they do. I don't see him in practice and not sure what he's really capable of either. I'm sure he's not being asked to do anything other than play defense, box and rebound which will be needed tonight. The coaching staff obviously knows better than me but I would not be shocked to see him get more minutes tonight than he has all year.
GO EAGLES

He is the biggest body the Eagles has but his lack of experience hurts him (as it would anyone). But, I do agree with SOCFAN1430 that he will probably get more time i nthis game due to trying to slow East's big kid in the middle.
I think the key will be if the Eagles get the ball out and run to wear Bias down. He is so big that they need him out of the game or struggling to get back on defense.
good luck Eagles!

Eastern 58- East 45 final
Eastern put 3 in double figgures again. This was a key win for the Eagles who are chaseing Notre Dame in the league.
