Jeeps are coming off of the loss to East while waverly just defeated Oak Hill.
Thoughts? Predictions?

I like SW in a close one 54-53. They'll be in the zone after that embarrassment Saturday

Waverly is still trying to figure themselves out. Hart has returned but is still trying to get back in basketball shape. Young players are being forced to grow up sooner than later with the loss of a couple senior starters. Da Tigers are dangerous when they play with the intensity like they did against Oak Hill. That intensity was not there for the early day game Saturday at North Adams. Maybe fatigue played a factor. The JV comeback was pretty special to watch. Waverly basketball should be fun to watch the next few years. If Waverly comes out with the intensity at both ends of the floor for 32 minutes they have a chance. Hart, Heibel, White, Rinehart are all capable of going off for 20, like to see each one get hot. Hope to see the Tiger faithful out in force tomorrow night. There is a brand new attitude and Da Tigers are fun to watch, win or lose.

I think that the Tigers at home make it a close game.

I have not seen the Jeeps yet this year, but obviously they have a nice basketball team. What will they try to do? Are they full-court pressure, do they like half-court sets...talk to me Jeeps? Who are the players we should know about?

Webster lacks a bench but there first 5 are such good athelets they still win. Last game there lack of depth hurt them inside when there big man got in foul trouble but he was matched up against a 6'10 guy.

I'm not sure what to think of this game tonight. Waverly is coming off a big win and SW is coming off a shocking loss. Waverly is playing at home so I'm sure the Tigers feel good about this one. I just can't help but think that last weekends games were more of an outlier. Although the return of Hart could have made a huge difference mentally for the Tigers. This is a "prove it" game for me. I want to see Waverly prove that the OH win wasn't a fluke and I want to see if SW is a real contender for the SOC crown. Good luck to both squads

I'd ask Burg, Minford, and Portsmouth first.

They got handed a 24 point loss the week before. Playing in the cave didn't allow the jeeps to turn it into a track meet and shooting 25% vs 60% doesn't help either, not to mention Goddard was out most of the second quarter. Foul trouble on Dyer and Cook early allowed Bias to own the paint. A good win by East but I don't see it happening again if they meet in the postseason.

As for tonight... I think it will be interesting to see how Goddard and JPW match up. Ive only watched Waverly in the previews and their record is hard to believe at the moment

Waverly lost there 2 bigs but they still have some senior leadership in place mixed with some youth. For Waverly to be in this game they better play some great deffense and control the tempo if they let Webster get out and run it could get ugly.

Exactly. Outside of the ancient Tartan lair and probably even 9 times out of 10 no matter where they play the Jeeps beat East. Everyone has a let down game every now and then. With that said, hopefully the Jeeps learn to dictate the pace and play to their strengths.

I think Webster bounces back from loss and gets the win 68-50.

24-17 Waverly at the half. Shots just aren't falling for the Jeeps and to many backdoor cuts for da tigers

Road wins going to be tough to come by in SOC II this year. Not any easier for Jeeps with Valley and Vinton County this weekend. Keep at it fellas*
