Valley @ Oak Hill --- 1/8

Post by Dr_Know »

Valley is trying to stay on top of the SOC with a tough roadie tonight. The Oaks are looking to bounce back from a shocking loss at Waverly last Friday. Valley seems to be the cream of the crop in the SOC again but Oak Hill is never an easy place to play. Coach Rolfe and his staff always have the Indians prepared and have done an excellent job in close conference games since taking over last year. I'm sure Norm will have the Oaks ready to go. I'm taking in Minford and Burg tonight but this should be an exciting contest in Jackson County tonight.

This is going to be a tough one...Valley will REALLY have to limit turnovers and MAKE foul shots.

I couldn't believe how bad Valley struggled from the line while listening to the game Friday night. That is an area that needs to be improved upon especially in close games. The last time I watched Valley (Burg game), I saw a team that has every area that is needed to be a complete team. After listening to the last game and reading pfloyd's breakdown of Saturday's game, I feel that they haven't put it all together yet. It could be lasting effects from football and the late start but it seems to me that they are grinding out wins. As a "good game watcher" I have watched a handful of Valley games (10-15 or so) as these players have come up through the ranks. They have the potential to be dominating people but the turnovers and the shooting haven't caught up to the rest of their game. I think that Coach Rolfe will get this group to peak in the coming weeks and be the biggest threat to Ironton come tournament time.

Can't wait for this one, hate the drive but this game is usually too good to pass up and shouldn't be any different this year. 69-68 Injuns

Ouch, poor shooting and 10 turnovers will spell doom everytime.

Looks like the SOC will tighten after tonight...

Norm must be putting on a ball control clinic. All those run and gun coaches need to get their notebooks out.

the oaks were prepped well ...collapsed on Dunn in the paint And completely took him out of game ... And the rest of the indians couldnt have hit water if they had fallen out of a boat last night ...previous stat from crabs brother was 3 for 23 1st half i think .... Second half indians went to the press but still got caught out of rotation getting back and got back door cut off half court d ... Be another tough one at south webster friday ... If they cant find the hoop
