Want to start by saying this is the worst the districts been in a while. Meadowbrook Sectional 1.Monroe Central (8-2)- Lead by 20 mins of hell motto. Top players Korey Lafferie and Cam Jorris. Big Wins- River and Shenandoah Key Losses Trail and Meadowbrook. 2.Buckeye Trail (6-3) - They have a good big in Toland and 3 shooters Roe,Beaver,Starr. If you play in your face and extend on perimeter very beatable.Lost 3 in row recently. Key Wins - Cambridge,Monroe Central, Fort Frye Key Losses- Fort Frye, Cambridge, Shenandoah 3.Shenandoah (7-5) They have played well lately but I feel they will drop back down to size when they lose Hurst. Key Wins- Fort Frye, Trail Key Losses- BARNESVILLE(4-6),MC, River 4. Fort Frye 6-5- 3 or 4 spots this yr are actually the best spots because you get to pick your path. If you play 1 seed in sectional you avoid Garaway until district final.Led by the sectionals best play Shon Smith they have won 4 of 5.They have also played toughest schedule Warren (9-1) and Parkersburg South (8-2). Also could end up 1 seed with wins over MC2x, Shenandoah. Key wins - Trail Losses River,Shenandoah and Trail. 5.Martins Ferry (5-5) Shau is a pretty good player. 6.West M (4-6) 7.Bellaire (2-10). All 4 PVC teams are about even and I think it ends up double PVC Championships at Sectional Finals this year.

Claymont Sectional even worse- 1.Garaway (8-3) 2.Tusky Valley(5-7) 3.Coshocton (5-7) 4.Newcomerstown (4-7) 5.Ridgewood (3-7) 6.Union Local (3-7) 7.Sandy Valley (2-11)

I think it be smart to jump into 1 seed side at Meadowbrook because they avoid Garaway until district final.

The Meadowbrook sectional looks like a complete toss up.

Well looking at it the best spot is 3 because you get to pick your opponent. Winner of top bracket avoids Garaway until district final.The whole district is a toss up. Fort Frye is 3-2 vs Trail,MC,and Doah.Shenandoah bout to lose Eli Hurt to ineligbilty.Cadets have beat those 3 by 20,19,13 if they go into Woodsfield and snap the Noles home undefeated streak I'm giving them 1 seed.Now MF plays in a better league and has big post player in Strahma and a good guard in Schau. They almost beat the Cadets last season. My predictions Top 4.Ferry vs 7.West M winner gets 1. Fort Frye Bottom 3.Monroe Central vs Bellaire and Doah vs Trail.

You have it pegged about right. The talent is about equal this year, so being able to choose the right match up is probably the biggest advantage you could have as a team. For example: Fort Frye never has enough muscle in the paint to match up well with Martins Ferry. No matter what their record is, they are always a tough game. West Muskingum might come in with a bad record, but they're in a conference with a lot of bigger schools, so they might handle the "step down" into the sectional pretty well.

West M has 1 player and that's about it. They lost to New Lex.Also FF handled them at Meadowbrook scrimmage.

Both have lost to Zeps, River, and to each other. Trails other loss to D2 Cambridge. I believe Forts other losses are D2 Warren and bigger Parkersburg South. Pretty much a wash. Trails win vs. 14-2 Cambridge who is 1st in ECOL (??strength) plus 1 less loss 10-4 vs. Forts 9-5 may give them a slight edge in my eyes but seems the coaches in the sectional voting may not respect their coach?? But Forts definitely been impressive as of late so I would say its still a crapshoot and yet to be determined.

Draw not til 10th I believe Fort Frye has a chance to grab it if they can finish up 4-1 with a loss to Warren. That will mean they would finish the season winning 11 of 12 going into draw.

Wish FF could play River before the 10th.

Cadets makeup with the Pilots is set for Feb. 18th. This from Fort Frye A. D.

I'm predicting 3 matchups with River then look for the FF to sneak in OVAC and play at River 2/12

Fort Frye loses to Warren (16-1) and I think that clinches up the 1 seed for Trail.
