The Trojans had Ironton on the ropes in their 1st matchup of the season at Portsmouth, the Tigers managed to pull out a 1 point win. This time the Trojans travel to the Conley Center to face the Fighting Tigers in a tripple header, thoughts?

Well, at least this time around the teams will be able to SEE the rims. Portsmouth has to be the most dimly lit gym in the area. I kept waiting for them to turn the rest of the lights on!! Tigers will show that the first game was indeed a "shot in the dark" from Portsmouth. Lookin forward to this one though.

It will be interesting to see if this group of Tigers can throw off the hoodoo voodoo that has hexed them when it comes to Portsmouth games. From the upset loss in Portsmouth of the SEOAL champ Tigers in 2010, to the embarassing beatdown the vet Trojans inflicted at Ironton in 2011, to last year's epic first half meltdown at the Convo in the Regional Finals, this river rivalry has not been filled with memorable moments for Ironton's senior class. Will that psyche job continue on Tuesday at the Conley Center? So much of these games is played between the ears. The Tigers need a head clearing performance in the worst way to get themselves right for the postseason. Portsmouth may have something to say about that, however, so we'll see.

Tiger Lady, I believe it is a triple header which would put the freshmen game starting at about 5.

Id like to pick Ironton by 10 plus points, but Eugene Collins has a knack for making it tough hard fought game. Open shooters will have to take shots tonight for the Tigers, I have a feeling some of the role players will get vary favorable looks at the basket. If they take some scoring pressure of Zac and Trey then this thing could get to double digits, if they pass on the open looks it will be close.
