How can a starter average 2.7 points per game? You would think 4-6 points per game would be available just in open layups?

I think Fort Frye will come out fired up after losing by 1 @ River. I think there were some shady reffing in the last game.

Fort Frye has 3 scoring options in Smith, Lang , and Legrean. I look for them to pick up the speed on the slower Pilot team.

River is being closed 2 hrs early tomorrow because of the weather supposed to be coming. Can't see the district closing school early for weather, but allow the athletic teams to travel.

Hey Ghost,
In this district, anything's possible. It's supposed to snow so I will say the game is played. It's happened before... all these new rules are because of all the women busdrivers.

No, I don't think thats why...but you complained about the refs at River, so I put in my 2 cents.
I've not seen many games decided by bad refs, they are usually bad both ways and if calls seam to go against your team...there are probably just as many against the other team in some point of the game too

True but the bad call at River was they called a push underneath and way after the whistle Caldwell chucked up a 3 and they counted it and gave them ball back for a 5 point swing. Plus Rivers gym was so dusty and cold and every time FF tried to run they slipped. Fort Frye will run and gun and if River don't make a ton of 3 pointers it will be a Cadet victory.

I'm pretty sure the River boys played on that same dusty, cold floor. Were they magically protected from it?

Also River is the only team in PVC FF has yet to beat. River is only school to beat them in football and basketball. Fort Frye is undefeated at home in all boys sports something has to give.

Everybody wants to complain about the refs. The bottom line is this, River was the better team that night and they walked away with the win.
Is FF a different team now? The answer is yes. FF now has a triple threat and that forces their opponents to step up there defensive game. There's not very many teams in this league that has 3 solid defensive players that can stop this trio.
You have to admit at the beginning of the season the talk was, stop Smith, because that's all the cadets had. Well boys you are seeing a totally different team now and let's not forget they now have their #6 & #7 men coming off the bench ready to play.
Should be another good night of basketball in cadet country.

Yea Norris,Dom, Carter and even Madison have added a new demension to this team. At the beginning of the yr it was like everyone dribbled around to get Shon shots now Shon drives with 3 options shoot, pound to 2-3 , or kick to Anderson or Lang.If they play half court man extended with Seth on Caldwell and Lang on Price. Then push the floor and get layups they are hard to beat.In the past the reason they were so better at home is because they drained 3s at home. Now they don't rely on that outside shot.Still think River is slow.

People who study stuff like this have proven that home teams on every level of sports get a few more calls their way in a game. The trick is that, if the visiting team believes they're deliberately getting the shaft, they start playing like it. I hope every fan in the PVC tells their team that the refs in Beverly are against them, because if your team comes to The Fort believing it's 8 on 5, they're going to fold when things get tough. Shenandoah, with a veteran head coach, could come in to Fort Frye and play just about as well as they did over at their place. You remember bad calls that go against your team. You never remember the bad calls that go the other way, or that The Cadets shoot a lot better at home. But, please, feel free to tell your players it's the refs. We love that.

Has River lost since losing that shootout with Athens at Marietta College?
