Unioto will come out with guns blazing, but Warren will prevail 67-48.

Warren will be ready and after last years first round district loss, I think they will be focused on Unioto. Hope Warren wins and I think it will be a close one. Go BIG BLUE!!!

... looking over the roster of the Unioto Shermans they took a big hit when 6-3 freshmen Erique Hosley suffered an injury during the regular season game vs Logan ... obviously one player does not make a TEAM he had lots of upside to his game ... what's left for the Shermans? UH played 11 players vs Logan @ Logan ... the five starters include :

Kyle Strange 5-11 soph
Nick Cocoran 6-1 soph
Chase Detillon 6-5 sr
Bryce Aldridge 6-2 senior

New 5th starter :

Nick Overly 5-7 soph
Zach Downs 6-0 sr

6-3 Erique Hosley (injured/broken arm)

6'2 Sr Dylan Minney has stepped in as the 5th starter and done an excellent job, bringing defense and energy. His play against McClain was huge as he shut down one of McClain's top scoring threats.

Obviously, Unioto is a better team with Hosley being available, but they seem to be coming into their expanded roles very well and at the right time of the year.

Warren is the favorite in this game....playing very well at the right time....Warren dominated an inferior but tough New Lex team that showed heart and didn't quit....haven't seen Unioto, wonder how they will attempt to slow down the Warriors....starting five;

Evan Yabs - G - 5'9" Sr
Dylan Leffingwell - F - 6'2" Sr
Evan French - G - 6'4" Jr
Micheal Hall - F 6'5" So
Reese Patton - F - 6'4" Jr

Warren chokes every year in the tourney. I'm surprised they made it this far. Does Marty Schottenheimer coach this team?

... it will be interesting to see how Unioto "plays" 6-5 Chase Detillon in this one ... as good as the Warren perimeter shooting was Saturday (10/19) a concern I had while watching the game was the Warrior rebounding or lack of rebounding ... New Lex as undersized as they were seemed to take it to Warren on the boards ... Detillon, a senior, with strength & length, could be a major factor in controlling the boards in this one, especially if WHS isn't hitting the outside shot as effectively as they were in the Logan sectional ...

... I'm looking forward to seeing the game AND the battle of the fans in this one !!! Unioto and Warren will pack them in Friday night at the Convo ...

I will be pulling for the Shermans in this one. I know Ross county will be represented well and there will be plenty of purple and gold in the convo.
I will take Unioto in a thriller. Unioto 59 Warren 58.

From a CAVS fan Go Shermans!

I see Unioto beating the overrated Warriors of Warren.

I dont know much about Warren except for what I have read on here. If Unioto can limit turnovers and control the boards they should have a shot at the end. Good luch Shermans from the SVC!

I've seen enough of the Warriors to know that they aren't overrated. You don't win 22 of 23 on accident and with most of them being by big margins...but look at the Athens game, they shoot 1-17 from deep, a huge part of their attack, and still beat a very good Bulldog team. They can beat you in a # of ways and have done it all year long.

My Shermans will have to come out ready to play on the bigger floor, ready to limit turnovers, rebound, and be super efficient on the offensive end. I really think the biggest key for the Shermans is the FT line, in 4 of their 8 losses, they made less than 50% from the charity stripe and didnt break 58% in any of the other losses.

I believe it'll be a great game at the Convo with a wild crowd.

I think the game is going to come down to 2 things. First, how will the Shermans handle the pressure that the Warriors will apply from the opening tip. Full court, in your face, agressive defense for 4 full quarters. Their 1-2-2 half court trap is tough to handle with Hall at 6'5" playing the one spot. Secondly would be how the Warriors shoot the ball from behind the arc. If they shoot close to 50% it won't be close.

Unioto will have to play perfect, and the Warriors have a bad shooting night, I think, but only my opinion.
