This one could go either way. If Southern can pound the ball inside they will win. If southern doesn't contain Carnahan then Eastern will win. Which one will give? We'll see

This reminded me of a biddy ball game. I bet there was at least 60 turnovers.

Southern had trouble puting the ball in the basket all night. Credit Eastern's defense or Southerns poor shooting? Probably a little of both. Southern will be better next year, as they only lose 1 senior, Pape, who was out last night with a knee injury.

I am just astounded by this game. Back in the glory days we woulda never got beat by them durn eagles. In fact we always spanked em by a bunch of points. The influence of football is still to great. I cant believe we even allow weightlifting in that buidling when the kids should be shooting year round. Just like we did. And the only kids playing football should be those sloppy fat kids that cant play basketball.

That might be one of the rudest comments I have ever heard.

Eastern definitely showed who wanted it more. They were the aggressors all night long. Southern couldn't overcome the hot start by the eagles led by Chase Cook. Chase scored the first 8 points for Eastern and the rest of the team followed suit. Southern did have some kids that played hard, but they also had a few that looked clueless. I was shocked at just how ineffective Drummer was. 6'7" and had little effect defensively, and even blew an uncontested layup.

Good Luck Eagles!!!! Keep up the intensity as you head for the Convo!!!

Wont be any better without a point guard transfer or move in. They o
nly have 1 guard now and he is a shooting guard

They need more than just a point guard. They got out rebounded 2 to 1 against a much smaller eastern team. Both schools brought very big crowds with the teams for the second game having to wait in the hall way. It is a shame the players didn't put any more effort into the game than they did with the nice crowd they had.
