At the beginning of the season I picked Eastern Pike, Fairfield and South Webster as my three best D4 teams. Once again the Valley seeding screws the #1 seed in the Meigs bracket and rewards the #2 seed. It is a shame two of the best teams have to play in the first round. At least it will be an interesting game to watch.

Fairfield is one of if not the best team Eastern plays this year . They play in the SHL against Peebles,Easter Brown,Ripley,North Adams there schedual is brutal !! Don't let there record fool you . I saw them crush teams all summer at shoot outs D-2 and D-3 schools. I personally will be very content with a 1 point win. This team is every bit as good as Webster and Notre Dame.

By this reasoning (and I don't disagree)....Eastern Pike wouldn't of had a chance against Manchester last year.

I will elaborate...the game was originally scheduled to be played at the convo but due to scheduling conflict the game had to be played elsewhere but just so happens to be they move it to a gym thats within minutes from easterns school..thats how the ohsaa helped em out

Get a grip man! Were the baskets 10 feet? Was the floor regulation size? The better team that night won.

Back to this thread. I keep hearing that Fairfield is very athletic and long. Their point guard is one of the best in southern Ohio. It will be fun to watch him and Lands go at it!
