72-17 Good grief, must have been a tough game to watch. It shows Websters depth as I'm assuming the starters were pulled pretty early and the bench was still able to pile on the points.

I think Fuller was the last starter to come out with around 2 minutes left. Coach Ater normally phases out players 1 at a time

Was worried this one had the potential to get ugly after Webster drummed New Boston on their home floor earlier in the season...did not think it would be this bad. To the New Boston kids: keep your heads up, there'll be days like these. As for the Jeeps, on to the Convo.*

What sportsmanship! Hope sportsmanship is returned down the road for Webster.

When it comes tourney time you can't worry about the feelings of other people. Was nice to see some bench guys play with confidence and make shots in hope they can keep that confidence up throughout the tournament. Really smart move by SW coach. Say what you will but SW didn't press AT ALL. New Boston is bad and on top of that they didnt make the shots they made against Manchester. But what's SW supposed to do, score for them?? Come on...

I understand letting players play, especially those that normally dont get a ton of playing time, but there comes a point when even if they are scoring at will, you have to at least pull them off a little. Just because SW didnt press, that doesnt mean anything.
If the post above is true and there was still 1 starter in with just a few minutes to go, and coach slowly pulled his guys out over the course of the 4th then something is wrong. With the score that lopsided no reason for starters or maybe even 6 or 7 man to be in the game in the 4th quarter.

With that said, I wasnt there so maybe I am off base. I can only go on what the score tells and what is being said. But in all honesty Scoreboard doesnt lie.

This isn't a non-league game at the beginning of the season. It is tournament time. If this was a regular season contest I could see the complaining, but not in tournament time. Also, I believe it does make a huge difference if they weren't pressing, (Imagine if they were). I'm not saying you should play the starters the whole fourth quarter but you also want to stay sharp and work on things, not just play a bunch of kids in the second half that won't see the floor at the CONVO. Just my opinion. It would help them be more prepared for a game like this if New Boston, East, Green, etc. scheduled some people besides Rose Hill (KY),West Union, and so on. But I see why they don't because the way the sectional seeding is set up there is no reason for them not to play the worse teams possible and rack up wins

Ppl that are complaining have probably never experienced a tourney run. They just dont understand. The last starter that was pulled was by far SW's weakest offensive threat and never shoots the ball. So it's not like this kid was schooling kids. I overheard the coaches trying to tell the kids to hold up a bit but some those players were just trying to get theirs for whatever reason. I'm sure those SW coaches didn't want to make it look this bad.

I trust you Buzz. My reaction was just based upon score and starters in the 4th quarter.

Best of luck to the Jeeps.
