Well it's that time of year, the rumor mill and word of mouth is firing up. Any information or grapevine tails just yet? So far, I have gathered that Albany Alexander is open.

I have heard to same thing at the local convenient store. I have also heard who the new coach will be from a reliable and inside source. I've heard who the guy is they are going after, anyway. I doubt anything will be done until the team he is coaching (assisting) is out of the tournament. Here is a hint: his brother did quite well with a fellow league team as a coach this year.

Huntington is the Chillicothe area is open. Travis Rinehart submitted his resignation after two seasons, he went 23-21 in 2 seasons. He has two little girls at home that were a big part of his decision, according the WKKJ article. This is not a rumor.

NJ Kight? Anyway, Hill resigned at RV. He's the next guy at Alex.

Todd Kellough for a year and then Randy Hauswirth for a few years. I would consider Todd a favorite again, he's been extremely loyal and is a good coach. Would be nice to see him get a real shot this time.

Todd would be a great head varsity coach and a perfect fit. But dont huntington have that ridiculous rule that u have to teach to be a coach? Best guy for the job and the kids should be the only requirement. Imagine college coaches having to be instructors at the school in order to be a coach. Makes no sense.

Roger-yea I guess they do still have that rule. We were just talking about it at work today. Hard to get a good coach in there that way.

Not what I heard. I heard if a certain person wants the job it is his.

If I am right, I think he coached at Alex last year. He was Gabriel's assistant.

Any word on who Lisath's replacement will be at Piketon? I didn't know if an assistant or something had already been selected as his successor.

Yes it will be his if he wants it because he is a teacher. If he doesn't and another teacher wants it then its theirs also. Gotta ask the inside before going out to the outside. Kinda be interesting if he does take it the hires Coach Gabriel as his assistant.

I'm hoping Todd or Justin get it. I haven't heard if Justin applied, but I'd say he will. :aaaaa5

Justin's his son who is just finished his student teaching and will be a great coach. Todd is not a teacher, which means they probably didnt have any in house candidates last time. I may be wrong, but I was thinking they reached the Convo in his 1 season.

I talked to a guy Monday that teaches at southeastern that is interested in the Huntington position. He has spoken to Mowery and he didn't seem to think they had anyone in house interested. Told him to send in his resume, and with the fb coach leaving they may have math position to fill, which could help him out because that is his major but I too think it will be Todd Kellough if he wants it. Could be a pretty good job.
