The huddle is holding their yearly vote for state player of the year. Beau Justice is the only player from the district nominated. He currently leads the pack in voting. I'm sure he would appreciate any support that can be given. Takes about a minute to vote and you can vote as many times as you like.

Its very centrally located but we play in the Southeast district so as far as I'm concerned it is southeastern.

Beau has taken back #1 from Kennard. Now separating himself. Every vote counts.

I've been having some trouble with the site today on mobile. Hopefully they just can't handle the traffic trying to get out and vote for Beau.

Beau has a 7000 vote lead on Kennard to this point but in the context of this contest that could change in a couple days(Beau current already has over 43,000 votes with Kennard around 36). Continued support for Beau to become the first southeast district player to win the award would be appreciated.

You're right, I did forget about Zac being nominated.

Beau has fallen behind slightly! The Franklin faithful have really put on a show today at the polls. We are in need of a second wind to take this vote over again.

Love seeing a player from SE getting a lot of attention and he is a great player. But doesn't it look kinda stupid that a player going to Duke is not player of the year???

He will win Mr Basketball for the second year in a row and has gotten invited to both the McDonalds and Jordan Brand game. I have no problem with a local player taking one award away from him. Kevin Vannatta from Upper Arlington was named the site's player of the year last year despite Kennard winning Mr. Basketball.

2 days left for the vote. On the home stretch. The support for Beau has been astonishing to this point. He has over 153,000 votes and currently holds a 28,000 vote lead on Luke Kennard, who is currently second. I want to encourage everyone to keep up the good work to finish this thing out strong. With a devoted fan base like Franklin has I'm sure they will try to make another late push.

Carlton Bragg should win Mr Basketball this year. He's going to Kansas and ranked 15th in the nation. Be stupid to give it to him again if he's not that best player in his class

Bragg being the best player in this class is highly debatable. Its based on more than where you rank in your class according to ESPN. Even so, Kennard is less than 10 spots behind Bragg on that list. Franklin has had an excellent season beating a number of very strong schools on a national stage while Kennard has averaged nearly 40ppg. He is closing in on the #2 spot in the history of the state in scoring. I would be shocked if he didn't win again after taking it last year, and honestly getting more hype than Bragg (receiving selections to the Jordan Brand game and Nike Hoop Summit while Bragg was omitted from both).
