Athens last two games...

Was told that Athens has really played well the last two games. That they look better than they have all year. Did the Warren loss shake things up for them? Or are they just starting to put things together now?

The old Ohio University women's assistant coach is coaching. He has Athens looking like a machine. Lutz is running wild, they are running a lot of high low with the 3 bigs, and they are playing very tough defense. They also have a tough press to break. Totally different team and fun to watch

Good news for the Dogs, bad for their opponents. So, is it safe to say that "an empty chair" could no longer get the same results as the coach?

Editing post so it does not appear as an underhanded comment. My intentions were not malicious. Wishing everyone the best.

Athens defense is very good.

Athens defense is very good.
If it was any other school in the county I am sure the paper wouldn't be saying he is just sick. Hopefully that's all it is, but the paper would be all over this if it was Alexander, NY, or any other school in the area. They gave Athens acting super a free pass that no others would get on that kind of response. JMHO.

the whole bunch at Athens should be fired. And the last principle and dean should also be blasted in the paper. But Athens is in the paper faster than the other 4 schools

Rumors! It is all rumors! For people on here to speculate what is going on is quite ridiculous. It is like a quilting Bee. The old women competing on who had the best gossip. Pathetic!

They never said he was done for the year. They just said Athens was without their head coach
And the athletic department had named Chuck Roberson interim coach. Chuck is not really coaching
The team .I guess he had to name a coach while Skinner is on leave so he named himself.could just be temporary

You're right, I didn't mean for it to sound like he was fired, etc and create rumors.

Pretty sure when the Sheriffs office is involved they aren't concerned about him being SICK!! They've never investigated me or talked to me when I have a cold or flu. Sounds like Jeff is the key to both programs. Breath of fresh air for the boys themselves??? probably.
