According to the Alexander website, the freshman team is 11-2. The handful of times I have been able to see them, they play hard. Numbers are a little low for them, but they are a talented group of players.

I did not know Athens had a freshman team.

Meigs is 10-2 (Only 2 Losses coming to Alexander) But, we have 5 that play very limited quarters of the Freshmen games, They see most their time on the JV.

We didn't face a Freshman Team when we played Athens. But Our JV in which is mostly our Freshmen beat their JV both times pretty easily.

This is one of those tourneys where you really don't know who your going to see, because they wont have to be worrying about saving quarters for other games that night.

Well my legs arent as fresh as they used to be and my belly has gotten big from a steady diet of pickled eggs and head cheese. Therefore, i will be limiting my skills only to htose games directly involving the Wildcats. We gonna win this thing. I got that octopus defense pretty much down pat.

Athens doesn't have a freshman team and neither does Vinton. They don't have a high school. Vinton kids go to River Valley. Vinton County on the other hand, does.

I'd say everyone knows I'm talking about the Vinton County VIKINGS...And I know Athens didn't have a Freshman team during season, doesn't mean they wont bring the freshmen that are on JV down to play in this tournament...I mean they signed up for it is all I know it says.

It is ridiculous that people have to be reminded of this. It is Vinton County, not Vinton. It's just like when these idiots say Nelsonville instead of Nelsonville-York. There is no Nelsonville high school people, so quit saying that. I liked it when Joe fired that guy for saying Nelsonville during a broadcast over and over. Must have had an impact, cause no one has dared to do it since then.

Athens has no freshman so not sure if they are bringing down from JV to make one or what.

I think VINTON versus NELSONVILLE would make for a great game...Get over it!!!

Alexander plays either Trimble or Wellston, not sure who won that game the other night.

Belpre beat Eastern on Monday, but then Meigs beat Belpre last night.

Athens also beat Vinton COUNTY last night as well.

There is a lot of people upset that Athens didn't play ANY Freshman games, but still yet was seeded higher than Eastern, Belpre, Trimble and Wellston.

Athens JV team is almost all freshmen. Those kids have definitely got a lot better

I have no issue with Athens being in this. But who is coaching them?

Spartans won 52-10 over Wellston. The boys shot the ball lights out.

Meigs JV is also almost all Freshmen, No one has a problem with them in it, I personally don't care where they were seeded in this tournament...but most are mad they were seeded above 4 other teams and had not played a game, as to where the others had.

I'm confident in our Meigs Freshmen beating them Saturday.

The JV Coach is the one that's coaching them.

Alexander hasn't seen the Meigs Freshmen team in either game they played. 2 of the Meigs Freshmen only played one quarter and 3 other Freshmen only played 2 quarters. So you will be in for a surprise.
