My favorite season is finally here. The Cadets return 3 starters that scored 9 or more a game as well as another starter in Logan Madison. Cadets should be really deep. Cadets will be lead by Sr Seth Legraen 6-5 (17.5 ppg) last season he has really worked in his game and played a lot of basketball. Jr Carter Kiefer also returns a very tough defender and a player with a nice inside outside game. SO Justin Anderson will enjoy his first yr as a starter coming off 9 ppg as a freshman. A deadly shooter should have a big year. Sr Logan Madison 6-5 looks to build off a nice jr year a player that usually does the dirty work played great in the districts last yr with 16 points. Other 4 varsity players will be Sr shooter Devin Brooker, Jr forward Derek Layton, Jr G and good defender Issac Klinger and quick pg Soph Kacey Lewis. The boys play a tough schedule but I truly believe they will be better this season.

This isn't one of the more highly anticipated Cadet teams, but Fort Frye has an interesting mix of players and could have a great season. I'll be looking forward to see how they come together. I guess Lewis is going to be the point guard?

I think it's an open comp at pg between Lewis, Anderson and Kiefer. This years team is not going to be as fast but I think if the big 3 improve this years team will be much better. The schedule is a lot tougher this season. I'll go 17-5.

Belpre could surprise some people, loaded with young talent and a deep bench..

Fort Frye is a tough place to play it's been years like over 10 since Belpre won in Beverly.

Fort Frye had a scrimmage this weekend. They have a lot of speed and will put up some points.

Like I said if FF can control the ball they will be much better this yr.

Game day I'm thinking huge game for Justin Anderson. Last season in his freshman debut he scored 16.

Fort wins 62-52.
Legraen, Kiefer, and Anderson all in double figures, as expected. Layton with eight off the bench.
Lots of foul shooting in practice all next week.

Legrean 16, Kiefer 13, Anderson 12! Cadets were terrible from the line just in the 4th qt alone they were 11-24 from the stripe. I'm guessing they shot 40 percent from the foul line. First half they played no defense. Cadets must get better. Belpre has a young bright future with sophomores Plummer and Bedgood

They had a good game plan they are undersized at every position and still almost pulled an upset. Belpre actually lead 31-30 in 3rd when Cadets went on a 14-0 run lead by 7 points from Carter Kiefer.
