Thoughts?

Should be a good game. This is a game that should be played yearly. Both schools have been successful and I think would benefit both communities if played every year as one of their non league games. Be nice to see Unioto drop Wilmington and add Logan Elm. No disrespect to Wilmington but Unioto/Logan Elm would be fun MSL/SVC rivals.

Potential. A ton of it. Some nights it works for them, some nights it works against them. They have excellent guard play and possess a passing lane denial defense unlike one you will see from any other team in the area. They have about 5 players who can shoot consistently from beyond the arc and two that are double double prone on any night.

Weaknesses: On ball defense when in man. They are suspect to getting beat on the drive by nearly every quality of opponent. VC and Chillicothe absolutely tore them apart with this. They also haven't been closing games well. Seemingly every time they get a late lead, it's always open to being blown. They are not good at killing time without turning the ball over.

Outcome? I think Unioto gameplans to shut down LE scoring threat, but struggles with their own offense as a result. I look for a low scoring contest with lots of FT's.

I am biased so I will take Unioto 54-49.

Could see the game going either way. Two teams who are battle tested and I look forward to seeing them on the big stage.

Respect the job Coach Hoops and his staff do at The U. Enjoyed working with him when he started his head coaching career at Westfall.

Coach Stiverson and staff has done a really good job with this GROUP . I think they are playing with determination and I will give the edge to The Braves . The Shermans have had some up and downs but are capable of making a good run . Should be a very good game !

I'm surprised at how few comments this game has generated. Two very good teams that have been very successful for some time.

I'm guessing both schools will bring big crowds. Do these teams have many fans that post on this site? I plan to stick around after Waverly plays and watch.

I think Warrens defense was a lot better than Unioto. I wouldn't be surprised if this is another Ridge Young show

LE! I think the Bryant kid will be the factor in this one. Think the U will not let Young go crazy and try to deny him the ball and double him all night. That allows for others to get loose and Bryant can absolutely shoot!

... Wishing the best to both of these teams - 2 of my favorite Coaching staffs Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line ... it should be a "dandy" to watch for the fans at the Convo tonight ...
