I don't know why anybody should be so surprised. Hillsboro NEVER keeps a coach more than three years, do they?

R1 needs to apply, I really hope they get a good coach. Is that the AD's decision, how long has he been up there? If so his teams in most sports have not been successful during his time.

Not sure what the Hillsboro AD is thinking, he gets rid of the girls soccer coach, maybe she was making the other coaches look bad by winning.
It's a shame how far the Hillsboro athletic program has fallen. Participation numbers are at an all time low in Varsity Football and Basketball.

Is there a possible issue with the knowledge and effectiveness of their AD? It will come down to either the AD or the Superintendent, it sometimes falls on them.

Sketchy at best with the overall attitudes at Hillsboro. I'm in and out of the community often, I hear you have a young community trying to progress with the old attitudes and old money trying to hold on it seems. Their place/ facilities are top notch for an athlete, looked awesome, just if they could get the dead weight out of their system.

J.R. Moberly managed to hold on for seven years. Aside from him, no coach has lasted more than three years since 1972. How do they ever expect to have a program?

Bruce Miles was a star basketball player at Hillsboro around 2000, and has recently been an assistant coach, there. A great kid. I hope he can last a while. He will get plenty off free advice, I can guarantee that. The Hillsboro community has circulated petitions and tried to drive some pretty good coaches out. You couldn't pay me enough to coach there.

Tim Davis did a good job. JR Moberly did a great job. These two men were local, would have stayed for many years and either one would have built a good PROGRAM. Sadly, neither one was allowed to complete what they started. People just dont understand that coaches learn every year. It is better to let a coach learn instead of changing coaches every 2 or 3 years. Hopefully, Bruce Miles will get a fair chance. Hillsboro will benefit if they just give someone a chance. Look at how their girls program has improved. They have allowed a good coach the opportunity to build a program. Good luck Bruce Miles.

Hard to believe Hillsboro has fallen this far. Like others have said, stability is the key to success. Remember Waverly having some good games Hillsboro with back in the late 70's/ early 80's. Hope both teams get back soon.
