Sitting at (7-16) Western takes on number 2 seeded Fairfield in the Sectional Championship @ Valley High School 2-26-14.
Thoughts?

I was impressed with the strides that Western had made in the offseason after watching them against Peebles earlier this year. While this is true, I have a hard time seeing Fairfield lose this early in the tournament. Fairfield by 15.

I look for Fairfield to win this one. Western honestly has the talent to play with most teams in this sectional . And can score a buch fast. But like last year there lack of defensive rotation kills them. If they focus on defense ( help the helper ) they can surprise some teams .

This one comes down to heart. How bad does Western want it. Can they play team defense? I am biased but Western will have to play up to beat this team Wed. Hoping they can put it all together. As Lightle04 stated they can score with anyone. Thats not the issue with this team. Plenty of talent, but discipline on defense will be a must vs FF.

Pulling for the Indians in this one..Western will score there share of points but it will take there best game and Fairfield having off night..been a year of upsets already so who knows? But my prediction is Fairfield by 14.

If the Indians can force Fairfield to shoot the "3" and limit transition points, they may have a chance. "If" being the key word.
I like the Lions by 18.

Fairfields season schedule really gets them ready for the tourney. They would be a 18-20 win team in the SOC1 . But if Western plays "D" and controls tempo they could get the "W" ! Good luck Indians !
