Beau Justice from Peebles. This kid is knocking down 22 footers with pressure on every shot. Just has a natural form that is flawless. IMO he is a better shooter than his brother Blake was.

Craig Tubbs of Portsmouth, Class of 1979.......he averaged 24.5 PPG his senior year without the 3 pointer.......and is Portsmouth's all-time leading scorer with 1,485 points. I have seen a bunch of very good shooters over the years in the SE District and I haven't seen anyone better. Craig was also known for making clutch shots, and is the second all-time leading scorer (39 points) in the state tournament history of the Trojans (Jeff Lisath is first with 40 points).

Tyler Evans is one of the best shooters I have seen in the last 20 years at the Convo ... but French is pretty darn good too.

Jake Kretzer is the best shooting big man I have seen.

Beau Justice(Currently at 1400pts, about a 45% shooter from 3) and Andrew Seaman(1300+pts, 50% from 3) from Peebles are the two best shooters I have seen around the Southeast. Zac Carter should be mentioned on someone's list as well.

Clint Hayes from Fort Frye in the late 90's

Dropped 60 plus on Beallsville and went over 40 numerous times. Great shooter.

That Beallsville game was insane - like a pickup game. Final was something like 125-100 and I want to say Hayes had 10 or 11 3's. Also pretty sure he led the state in scoring his senior year.

If I'm not mistaken, Engle holds/held the state career record for 3-pointers (300+) and is up there somewhere for a single season with over 100.

He is first and Blake Justice from Peebles is second in career three pointers. They are the only two players in state history with more than 300.

I'll stay with the Eastern theme... (my cousin) Mark Cochenhour.. For a big guy he had great range and touch. He could light it up! If there were a three pt. line back in the early to mid eightes he would have racked even more points.

Are we naming the best shooters or giving shout outs to friends?

I could see Spradlin and if you are talking SOC, possibly Smith, but come on with the rest of these.

Drew Spradlin was a great shooter, but when it comes to the Burg I think Seth Cowgill was the best pure shooter I have seen there in a long time.
