Symmes Valley will be without 2 starters and their 6th man tonight. The good news is we have kids to step up and fill those spots and respond. Should be a hard fought battle in willow wood.

Easteen Pike 83
Symmes Valley 73

Good shooting by eastern tonight. The loss of those players really hurt. SV cut it to 5 late but eastern responded. Way to not give up SV.

On a positive note Symmes Valley's JV improved to 13-1 with a 10 point win.

Why were the players out? Injuries?

Very entertaining game to watch last night(2 technicals,1intentional. and over 35 personal fouls called plus 3 fan ejections)..Eastern jumped out to big first half lead thanks to very good 3 point shooting as they hit 10 threes in that half also played good defense..pressured full court and forced turnovers. Eagles lead 48-28 at half but Vikings came out 2nd half and made a nice run to get back in game behind Rowe who played very well. SV cut it to 6 with under a minute remaining but Eastern held on to win by 10. Big win for the Eagles especially on the road against a quality team. I believe Eastern had 5 players in double figures(Fitch,Hesson,Creech,Thacker,Leist)..that's a good sign as I thought they did a great job of sharing the ball last night. Eastern now sets in 2nd place alone now with 2 league losses behind Notre Dame who only has 1 loss in Soc.

Pretty amazing Fitch shot 50% from the 3 point line for a change from his usual 10%. I mean I coach my son when he doesn't do what I tell him, he rides the bench or runs. Just a thought did we try to shoot from under the hoop or at least draw the foul.

Whats Fitch's record at Eastern ? How many other coaches have taken there team to the Elite 8 at Eastern ? He has how many seniors on the team ? How tall is there biggest player 6'1 maybe ?! 3 of last 4 years won the league and still has haters ! Name a team outside of portsmouth in our area who can claim this much success . No one is going to agree with all of a coaches moves but sit back and enjoy your programs successe !

Pretty hard to set back and watch brick brick brick brick brick brick brick brick brick goal for a total of 10% lol. Move around move off the wing. Move around, move inside. If you can't do that you will loose games against teams like notre dame

I hate when teams "loose" games! Either a disgruntled parent or ex player.

Eastern is very young and will be very good in the future!!!

I agree as a team we shot too many 3's and have proven when we drive we can score ...
and bout coach Fitch I don't agree with some situation or how he coaches sometimes he has been very successful as coach some will disagree that it is the talent that he has had but this year is a good example of his coaching they may not have the best record but this kids play there butts off my son plays for him and like I said I may not agree sometimes but he is our coach and he has been very successful with his time at eastern ...

I think a lot of Eagle fans are spoiled by the past success..I fall into that category sometimes but when you step back and look at it Coach Fitch has done a outstanding job at Eastern. Always contending or winning league titles been to the Convo 3 straight years a regional runner up team in 2012. .and this could be a good of a coaching job he's done after the talent he lost after last season
To be over half way through the season and to still be in position to compete for another Soc title is ptetty impressive with this young Eagles team. The future looks good for the Eagles as there are only 2 Seniors on this team..besides that everyone is back next season. You may not agree with some of the things Fitch does but you can't argue with results! People should just sit back and enjoy watching one of the best programs in this area. Especially considering were a D4 school.
