Wow, thought Caldwell would win this one, but figured it would be close.

Game was never really in doubt. Caldwell was able to get basically whatever they wanted on offense. Don't have exact numbers, but would say Weichman and Harding were the top scorers. Really shot well from outside. Belpre had a few solid kids to, but they just didn't seem to have it together. No interest in playing defense at all, no intensity.

How about Belpre's coach. I was embarrassed for him. He spit on the door at the end of the gym. His behavior on the sideline was terrible, somehow only got one T, and he threw a fit to our athletic director about our student section being to loud behind his bench in front of everyone. He didn't represent his school very well. He has a really athletic team who could be pretty good I think. #22 is really good and is only a freshman. He didn't let him play near enough from what I watched. Game was never in doubt.

Nick Terriault is the teams best player but other then that they have a ton of young talent freshman - Bedgood, Plummer and Soph- Miller

They do have some talent but they just looked like they didn't want to be there. Saw a stat line where someone had 12 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds, and 6 steals. Believe it was Clark.

Based on what I have seen, my guess is their coach had a right to be offended by the student section. I didn't want to bring it up, but seeing as you did, I had to bite my tongue with the language they used during the game I was at. I'll leave it at that. If you want specifics PM me.

Yes you are exactly right. The complaint about the student section was not based on being 'too loud'. It was because of the language and the inappropriate comments towards our players and coaches, who were conveniently directly in front of the student section.

With the earlier comment about playing time, if you've ever coached anything, you know there's a lot more that goes into a player's playing time besides basic talent. Since I'm guessing you haven't been at every practice and game, I don't your opinion is valid or fair. (And I'm not saying that #22 isn't good, because he is. I'm just saying that's not a fair judgement to make.)

With the 'spitting incident', it's funny how things get exaggerated and turned around. I've now heard four different versions of the story. Amazing how people add what they want and changed what really happened because they want to cause drama.

Yes it was language and direct comments to players the game I was at too.

Like I said, I didn't feel like I needed to bring it up when it happened. But if you are going to come on here and call out a coach of another program, you should understand what is really happening before you do that.

If redskinwitness doesn't believe me, I'm happy to give him the details.

I believe you. I know how kids are. Doesn't surprise me in the least. They need to be kept in check by an administrator. That said, I think it is great how loud and supportive they are. It's been a long time since Caldwell has had that kind of support and home court advantage. On the flip side, everyone saw him spit on the door by the cheer leaders, everyone also saw him get vocal with our athletic director and he is an adult. Should have been handled better.

Fair enough. I certainly don't have a problem with a loud supportive student section.

I would never allow them to be where they are at though, period. I can't think of another place where they allow this to happen, so just seems like a no brainer to me.

That's where the student section has always been, as long as I can remember. Personally, I see no problem allowing the student section to be behind the visiting bench, as long as what they're doing is tasteful and it's kept in check.
