Symmes Valley JVs won by 10

Varsity game:
Symmes Valley 46
ND 50

Two physical teams. Tough for SV without Malone in the entire 4th

Malone was issued his 4th foul in the 3rd quarter and said something to a ref that issued a technical foul which resulted in his 5th foul. Tough to overcome with a player out the entire 4th quarter that is an impact player. SV fought back to tie the game with 5 straight points to start the 4th quarter.

ND called timeout to regroup and that they did. They set up an offense that found open guys going to the rim and converted. ND's defense forced some late turnovers and converted them into points which is something that has killed them the last few games. Turnovers and mental mistakes are usually a factor in ND's offense but this time they handled the pressure well and didn't force anything.

Big game Friday as the Titans travel to Eastern. Eastern was beaten by SV, Clay beats SV, and Eastern beat Clay. ND has beaten both SV and Clay so far so anything is up in the air.

Malone said nothing to the ref he hit the floor with his fists and the other ref called a technical on him. If you going to post something on here make sure you have your facts straight or better yet if you dont know the facts then dont say anything at all. It makes kids look bad when you dont know the truth.

Facts are wrong but having a technical called on you for hitting the floor with your fists doesnt make much sense. Kids get upset with themselves and react like this. Either it was perceived as directed towards the ref or the call was way too harsh.

You're not supposed to punch the hardwood. Slapping it hard can damage the surface and it creates attention when it shouldn't be created. Analogous to slapping the backboard.

Edit: refs are calling T's on this more b/c it gives way to the possibility that the kid will bleed and possibly bleed on the court.

Sorry I should have clarified, as I knew he was issued the technical foul for punching the court, I didn't mean to leave that out. He hits the floor, then walks off the court, looks at his coach and says, "I didn't say anything". It doesn't make much difference, he was issued a technical foul for an outburst that resulted in his fifth foul.

I try to post facts and nothing but them. I will work harder just for you Pain25 that each word used is well thought out. Happy now?

--- Technical fouls are given for behavior issues. It is okay to correct the facts but i am not sure it looks any better.

Kind of like rolling thru a stop sign or going straight thru -- the police officer will give each of them a ticket for failure to yield.

He was issued a technical....fact. We missed him the entire 4th......fact. It might of changed the game.....fact. He wasnt showing up the official, he was just disgusted about his play at that moment......fact. He is a fine young man.....fact. Did he learn from it....fact. Will Symmes Valley be fine.......fact.

Lets not speculate on the situation. We have all been in this sort of situation. Both teams are playing well and both will only get better.
